4 Months!

I can't believe my little girl is four months old already! She is growing so fast and getting so big. She now rolls both ways. She is better though at rolling from back to front and sometimes gets stuck rolling the other way. She is starting to sleep a little more and is taking better naps! She loves to sleep when Lukas is sleeping. AWWW the quiet I don't blame her. She takes all her naps in her bouncer or swing. She is sleeping more in her cradle at night but if she wakes or is having a hard night we let her sleep in her swing. She is starting to giggle and it is adorable and we love it. She is so good and rarely cries. She loves to smile and you don't have to work too hard to get one out of her. She loves to play with toys and is really good at grasping them. She went swimming for the first time today and loved it and splashed and played in the water. I wish we could get her to sleep longer stretches at night. She does have a few pretty good nights a week but we still struggle for the most part. She still has the worlds loudest baby cry! She is cutting two teeth on the top. We sure do love this little girl and we are grateful Heavanly Father sent us miracle baby number two!

She LOVES the exersaucer. She loves standing and playing with toys so this is the perfect thing for her.
I realize I cut a little bit of her off in this picture. I was just trying to get a smile and I wasn't really aiming the camera just hoping to get a good picture. I think her face is SO cute in this picture!

Party time

Today my parents had a big party at their house. If you ask them the reasoning for this you will get different responses. One response is, it is for Jims retirement, another response is, just cause we wanted to have a lot of people over for a fun time. Whatever the reason was it was fun and we were glad they had it. They had a band come and play. They had lots of yummy food, steaks, fish, hot dogs, hamburgers and home made root beer. My aunt and Uncle and their kids are here from AZ and it was Sofia's third birthday today so we celebrated that as well. Lukas had so much fun playing with his cousins. He of course didn't want to leave when the time came.

Blair is a HUGE hand sucker. She can be caught doing this a LOT! She is such a good baby and barley fussed today. She was passed around a lot and enjoyed ALL the attention she received.
Lukas has the cutest smile. Watch out girls! When Lukas gets older he is going to melt your hearts with his smile and big baby blues!
Lukas was excited about the pinata.

Uncle Juan you are such a tease. Lukas did acutally hit the pinata a few times even with Juan teasing him.

My 2 kids

I just wanted to post some cute pictures of my kiddies. They are just getting bigger everyday. I think I am finally adujusting to being a mom of two (I know I know Blair is three and a half months I should have been there WAY before now.) They keep me busy but they sure are cute.

Lukas is loving holding Blair more and more. Yes, that is raw sphagetti noodles he is eating. I am sure your thinking what kid eats raw sphagetti noodles. Well, mind does. Probably because I bestowed the bad habit on him. For some reason I like raw noodles.
Going going gone! I snapped the picture just as Blair was falling. Yes, I caught her. The look on her face is like Oh Crap!
I am thinking of having Blairs four month pictures taken in this outfit.
Blair is thinking I wish I could eat that cookie instead of Lukas's thumb.
CHEESE! Anytime I take Blairs picture Lukas is right there insisting I take his picture even if I just took his. It is cute and funny.

Mini Vacay

For Dans Fathers Day present the kids and I thought we would get him a selfish present. A present that ensured we had him all to ourselves for a few days. We decided to go on a mini vacay to Salt Lake. We went and stayed the night in a hotel and went to the zoo the next day. We ate at the Cheese Cake Factory. Well sort of. They took forever getting our food out so we ended up asking them to box it up so we could take it to go. They ended up comping almost our whole meal since it took so long. We went swimming in the hotel pool. Lukas thought it was so much fun to stay in a hotel. The first thing he did when we got there was ask to go potty in the toliet. It was sort of odd but whatever. (We are still working on potty training he only goes when he WANTS too and hardly ever when you ask him and we get about half and half. He goes half the time in his diaper and the other half in the toliet.) Then he kept jumping from bed to bed since we had two beds in our hotel room. Lukas was also really excited to have a sleepover as a family and wanted to make sure daddy slept in the same bed as him. He made sure to tell us all to close our eyes when he was ready for bed. The next day we went to the zoo. Lukas had so much fun and Blair was so good. I am glad the weather was nice so we could enjoy the day there.

I tried to take a picture of Lukas with his floaties on but he was too excited to go swimming to even pause for a picture. He really didn't need his floaties since he wouldn't even venture out very far. Plus he spent most of his time in the hot tub. This kid needs some serious swimming lessons. Too bad all the lessons are usually mommy and me classes which is impossible with a three month old in tow.
We were excited to take Blair swimming to see if she enjoyed it. She really likes her baths now so we thought she might. However, even though the pool was indoors the water was FREEZING! Mommy and Blair ended up just watching. At least we got a cute picture of her in her darling swim suit.
Blair was excited for our sleepover!
Lukas refused to take ANY pictures in front of the animals. This is what he did everytime I asked him to pose for a picture.
He would take pictures in front of the "fake" animals.
He loved the drums.
We kept telling him not to go under the railings but he wouldn't listen. He needed a close up view I guess.
He loves the carasouel. He insisted on riding the elephant.
I love the zoo playground it is so adorable. Lukas loved it too!
Blair looking up at her daddy. She loves him! We love him too! Happy Fathers Day Dan. We hoped you enjoyed our selfish present as much as we did.

Sleeping Beauty

Blair may not sleep a whole ton but she sure is cute and sweet when she does. We sure do love her. She does manage to take a good nap whenever Lukas is napping. It must be because it is quiet.

She has to have the blanket touching her face.

Childrens Art festival

Today my mom and I took Lukas to the Childrens Art festival at the Springville art museum. It was a lot of fun. They had a ton of different booths that the kids were able to make various crafts at. Lukas made a pin wheel, a fish, painted, made a wish necklace, played with stamps, and painted some more. He loved going to all the booths and seeing what exciting thing he would be able to make next. He was so proud of his art he kept showing it to Blair and saying look Blair. I think he really expects her to respond. I just answer for her and say oh Lukas she thinks that is so awesome. It cracks me up. Both my kids were on their best behavior at the festival. I think Blair really enjoys being outside. Lukas also enjoyed listening to the band they had playing there. He sat and listened and didn't want to leave when we were supposed to go. I am glad Lukas got to do something fun today. The weather has been so awful and we haven't been able to be outside much lately.

Blowing his pin wheel.

He got his face painted. I laughed because out of all the things they were able to paint on his face he wanted a blue paw print. I thought he would pick a baseball or an ice cream cone or maybe the balloon. I just thought it was an odd choice. He sat so still while they did it though.
I just had to post this picture because I think Blair looks adorable. She has such big intense pretty blue eyes.

jammie day!

THe other day Lukas begged me to let him stay in his jammies all day. I let him. I knew we weren't going to be going outside since it hasn't been very good weather lately. I even joined him and stayed in my jammies all day.
He spent a majority of the day making a choo choo train track with the jenga blocks. He played with Blair.

Blair is now enjoying the world of toys. She grasps them and holds onto them for quite a while. We are going to have to keep an eye on her though because she loves to suck on things and put everything in her mouth. Lukas never did this really so it will be a change. Blair also rolled from her back to front yesterday.

5 K

Yesterday we participated in the Nestle 5 K fun run for Art City Days in Springville. We do this every year and it is a lot of fun. However, we do NOT run we walk. Running just isn't my thing. I like to know though that I walked 3 miles and got some good exercise. Neil and Ali and Emma joined us this year. My parents did as well (they participate every year too.) Emma and Lukas rode in a double stroller together while Neil ran. Ali, Dan and I walked it pushing Blair. After the run/walk they have a raffle for prizes. I won a boom box and a box of Nestle Chocolate. My mom also won a prize, she won 25.00, a tool set, and a cooler. We were so grateful it was nice weather and we were able to participate.

Blair all ready for the race.

All the kids that participate that are six and under receive medals. Lukas is really proud of his medal. He shows everyone. He even says look Blair look at my medal. It is so cute and hilarous.

Fish

Yesterday Lukas went fishing with grandma and grandpa. Today Dan went fishing with Jim. They didn't really catch anything yesterday. Lukas said he had fun and the worm pooped on him. Dan caught some fish today and Lukas liked watching them be fillet.

He actually touched the fish. He was sort of hesitant at first but then he touched it but only with one finger.

This is Blair's face while watching the windmill spin at grandma and grandpas. This little girl has been sort of fussing while eating the past few days. I felt in her mouth and I feel a tooth coming on. I know this doesn't necessarily mean she will actually get a tooth but I think that is what is bothering her. I even took her back to the ped yesterday just to make sure her ear infection had cleared up in case that was still bothering her. Her ears looked fine so I am pretty sure she is teething a bit. I don't really want her to get a tooth quite yet I love her toothless smile.

3 months!

I can't believe my baby girl is 3 months old today! We love her and she is so so adorable. She is such a smiley baby. It doesn't take much to get a smile from her. We are still working on sleeping issues. She is finally starting to nap a little bit which makes for a happier mommy. Now we just need to start working on getting her out of the swing and our arms or off our chest at nights. She is so strong and holds her head up really well and tries to sit up from a lying down position all the time. It sort of frightens me because she is just too little to do that yet. She is so grabby and loves to hold onto our shirts and her blankies. If she is crying and I need to finish something if I give her a blanket to grab onto she usually calms down pretty fast. She loves it when the blankets touch her face. She loves to suck on her hands and sometimes spits her binky out just to do so. She is getting so big and we are enjoying every minute of her being a baby.
