Super capes

Yesterday Lukas put his super cape on and Blair was so upset because she wanted one too! I knew I should have bought her the princess one for her birthday! O-well. We made do by using a blanket. She was happy with that. However, I was constantly putting it back on since it fell off A LOT! They had so much fun playing super hero. They were running around the house and chasing each other. Lukas even made me join in the fun by putting on a blanket cape as well. Sorry guys no pictures of me ;)

Blair had crazy hair that day! I didn't even try to fix it since we didn't go anywhere.I asked Lukas to pose and this is how he did it. This is what he thinks Bat man looks like. (Yes, I am aware our paper blinds are falling down. Hopefully we are getting new ones very very soon.)

Bean Museum

Today we went to the bean museum with my friend Ruth and her kids. It was fun. Ruth and I have been friends since Junior High. It is so great that we are still friends and that we don't live too far from each other. It is nice that our kids get along and play well. I don't think I have been to the Bean museum in years. I love that it is something free for us to do and Lukas LOVES the animals.

Michael and Lukas in front of the moose.
Blair was super good. Even when we let her out of the stroller she stayed by me and loved looking and seeing everything.
Such a cheeser.
They have a little play room for the kids with toys in it. Blair saw this piano on top of the counter. She wanted it so she pulled the drawer out climbed in it and stood up so she could reach it. She is so smart.

Fry sauce and Corn dogs

This little girl LOVES fry sauce and LOVES corn dogs. I was a little worried she might choke on the corn dog but she has had them a few times and does really well. If we have fries with fry sauce anywhere near her she has to dip. She will scream till you give her, her very own fry sauce container.

Easter outfits

Since conference was over Easter weekend the kids didn't get to wear their Easter outfits. We saved them for today and they looked ADORABLE in them. Last weekend wasn't the greatest weather since it snowed. It was perfect weather today for Blair's cute summer dress. She loved the new sandals and wanted to wear them all day. I have to say that I have two of the cutest kids in the world!

Learning

Blair is just growing up so fast and learning so much every single day. She is my little dare devil that is full of determination. For example today at the park she kept trying to climb the ladder to get to the slides. Well she is a little short and her tiny arms just weren't long enough. She kept trying and trying. I felt bad that she couldn't reach but relieved at the same time because she was scaring me so bad. I thought for sure she would fall. Yes, I stood right behind her to catch her if she fell. She tried to climb on the rocking horse in this first picture the other day and almost succeeded before I stopped her. She loves that rocking horse and wants on it ALL the time. She doesn't want me to touch her or anything while she is on it. She even tries to stand on it! She loves to sing. She walks around the house singing jibberish and dancing. She loves to sing "If your happy and you know it", and "Pop corn popping." She does the actions to pop corn popping and it is so cute. She is talking more and more. She says a pretty good amount of words. She can say: yes, no, ow, uh oh, more, cheese when you take her picture, out, down, up. She loves Ruff Ruffs AKA dogs. Every time she sees one she says ruff ruff ruff. She get so excited. However, almost every animal she sees says ruff ruff. HA HA. She does know that a cow says moo but other then that they all say ruff ruff. She loves to play outside and run around. She is a pro at walking now which makes her look more like a little girl instead of a baby. She is so full of personality and energy. She never slows down and is always keeping me on my toes. I sure do love her smile. I also love the exercise I get from chasing her ;)

She loves this rocking chair. It is Lukas's however, he doesn't use it much anymore so she has sort of taken it over. It is low to the ground so I don't have to watch her like a hawk when she plays in it and stands in it.
She has actually been letting me to her hair in a pony the last few days and keeping it in! She has taken it out a few times but that is quite the accomplishment.
This is such a cute picture and just touches my heart! They love each other and I love them! This is one of the rare times Blair has sat still to watch t.v. It didn't last long maybe five minutes if even that.
I got a few pictures of Blair wearing the bunny ears. She started actually wanting to put them on! Silly girl!

Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter Sunday. The Easter bunny trekked through the snow and made it to our house. I couldn't believe we woke up to SO much snow! Despite the weather we still had a great time. It was like Spring in our house with the out door toys, bubbles etc. My kids were on a sugar high all day. Blair had more candy today then she has ever had in her life! She couldn't get enough. She kept begging and begging for more.

Seriously, I think Blairs favorite thing in her basket was the m & m filled egg! Silly girl!
The pool and side walk chalk the kids got to share. Now we just need it warm enough to use!
Each kid got a picture of Jesus to hang in their rooms. We can't forget the true meaning of Easter in our celebration. I am so grateful for the atonement. I am so grateful for the resurrection. Isn't having the gospel and having Christ in our lives truly amazing? !
This afternoon was spent at my parents house where the kids had an Easter egg hunt and we had a yummy dinner. Blair couldn't resist opening the first egg she saw. She has candy in her mouth!
My aunt Suzanne gave the kids bunny ears. Lukas wore his almost the whole afternoon. Blair however refused to put them on. We tried numerous times to get her to wear them just for a picture but she just kept taking them off. After a few attempts she walked all the way a cross the room to give them to Dan. I think it was her way of saying Stop already!
She knew just what to do. Find an egg put in basket!

Lukas seriously was cracking me up. If he found an egg already open he wouldn't pick it up and put it in his basket. I asked him why and he said "Well the egg is cracked I don't want it." If one of the eggs came a apart in his basket he would take it out and put it on the floor and tell Blair to get it.

The end result!

Easter egg dyeing

Yesterday after Blair was in bed Lukas, Dan and I dyed Easter eggs. Lukas had so much fun. We asked him if he was having fun and he actually answered, "Yes, SO much fun!" I think it was even more special to him since it was an activity he got to do without Blair and just with mommy and daddy. We had SO much fun with him too!

He had fun experimenting with the colors. We dyed some in just one color. Then we took a few and did them in multiple colors to see what we would end up with.

He even ate the eggs! Last year he wasn't a big fan of the actual egg. This year we have already eaten almost a dozen of the eggs. HA HA. When we first started dying them he was a little confused he asked to take them a part and put candy in them.
