Leftover pie

I am sure you all agree when I say that one of the best things about Thanksgiving is eating the yummy leftovers for a few days afterwards. I especially love the left over pie! When we made the pies for Thanksgiving grandma helped Lukas make his own individual pies. Lukas had a lot of fun making them. Of course he also had a lot of fun sampling the pie crust as we rolled out the dough! Yes, I admit he gets that from his mom. I like any sort of dough and I think pie crust dough is yummy! Its okay you can call me weird I understand. We saved Lukas's individual pies for after Thanksgiving. He had just as much fun eating them as he did cooking them.

Thanksgiving Day

We had such a great Thanksgiving Day. This morning we just relaxed and watched the Thanksgiving Day parade and flat out enjoyed being home as a family. We had Thanksgiving Dinner at my parents house. We had some family we don't see often in town and it was really nice to see them. Lukas had a lot of fun playing with his cousins. We enjoyed all the yummy food and pie. I reflected a lot on what I am thankful for and feel really blessed. I am so grateful for little miracle baby Lukas and the joy he brings into our life on a daily basis. Yes, even when he is being a stinker. I am grateful for baby number two and am so excited to meet her. I am grateful for Dan and what a great dad he is. I am grateful he still has a job with so many people loosing them. His company is still doing well and we haven't lost any benefits from working there. I am grateful for both our famalies and everything they do for us. I am grateful that Dan is almost done with school and we get to open up a new and exciting chapter into our lives.

He is so SILLY!
Sofia played hard and got really worn out that she fell a sleep in the high chair.

Park City

For my bday Dan gave me a night away to Park City with one of my favorite friends Nately. I know my birthday isn't for another month but with all the holiday plans we thought we should do it early. We had a lot of fun (I forgot my camera though so no pictures). We stayed at the Park City Peaks hotel and it was really nice. We went shopping at the outlets and found some cute things at good deals. Both Lukas and Blair scored some cute new clothes. I got some more Christmas shopping done which is a nice bonus. On Sunday we went to breakfast at this really good place called Good Thymes. They had the best biscuts I have ever had. I am craving them now that I am mentioning them. I highly recommend eating there if you get a chance. We then went shopping on Main Street. We of course had to make a stop at Rocky Mountain Choclate Factory. We drank hot choclate and walked around. It was so nice not too cold and the sun was shining. We then made our way home. Part of me didn't want to come home since it was so relaxing and was so nice to sleep in. However, I missed Lukas and Dan. Thanks Dan for being so willing to let me go have some fun. Thanks Nately for going with me. Your great company and I had a blast.

Christmas Tag

I have been tagged with Christmas questions!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Well I am really bad at wrapping presents so I prefer gift bags but I still do wrap presents. They may not look the best but it is the thought that counts right?

2. Real tree or Artificial? Always real! Dan hates this because he doesn't like to put on the lights every year. However, I am not budging going out and picking out a Christmas tree is such a fun family tradition.

3. When do you put up the tree? Usually the day after Thanksgiving.

4. When do you take the tree down? Around New Years.

5. Do you like eggnog? Heck NO! Dan does though.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? I don't know maybe the bike I got one year

7. Hardest person to buy for? Parents

8. Easiest person to buy for? Lukas

9. Do you have a Nativity set? A few of them. One I made the first year we were married. One Dan got me for my bday and I love it. We also have a smores nativity and it is really cute.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? mail

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I can't think of anything

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? All the yummy treats!

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Sure can

20. Angel on the tree-top or a star? A bow

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We open presents at Dans parents on Christmas Eve and Lukas opens up his Christmas Eve book every Christmas.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Shopping the malls and stores are way to crowded and people can be so rude. Especially at Wal Mart.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? We love our smores ornaments.

24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? I just like it all

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? For Lukas to have a fun Christmas (and if we can afford it a GPS system for my car because I get lost REALLY easy)

A night with friends

Last night we had some friends over for Raclette party. It was really fun and we had a good time. We just laughed and ate and hung out and ate some more. The best part was no kiddos! We just had a fun free night stay out late ( 1 A.M. to be exact) and enjoyed each others company. Lukas slept over at Grandma and Grandpa C's house. He must have had a blast because when I went to go pick him up this morning he didn't want to come home. I said come on lets go and he would just say no. Then he refused to put on his jacket to leave. I am sure the cool cap gun that they bought him intised him to want to stay. Thanks for watching him! We appriciate it. Thanks to our friends who came out to enjoy our company.

Before our guests arrived. I am dumb I forgot to take pictures when everyone was actually there to enjoy the food.
Stick em up! Lukas loves his new cap gun and keeps playing with it. Thanks grandma and grandpa!

Uh oh!

Today Lukas wanted to color so I opened the cupboard for him to get his crayons out. Little did I know there was a permanent marker in there. Dan and I were busy engaged in a conversation and all of a sudden Lukas starts trying to color on daddy! We took it right away but of course he got to himself first. Thankfully he wasn't wearing a shirt and didn't get any on his pants or anywhere else but his face arms, and belly.

Luckily a baby wipe got most of the blue off his face.

What mom? I didn't do anything.

We woke up to snow on the ground a few days ago. Lukas kept looking out the window and bringing me his shoes. I took that as a hint that he wanted to see what it was like. We bundled him up in his snow clothes and took him to play outside in it. He had a blast. He wouldn't keep his gloves on though so his poor little hands were so red and frozen. This made us keep the snow escapade to a minimum. I don't think he likes mittens because they restrict him on what he can do with his hands. Luckily I found some actual gloves at Wal Mart. I am hoping he will keep these on the next time it snows. The rest of the day he kept bringing me his boots and snow suit to go outside. The sad thing was, the snow had melted. I think he rather play outside in the snow then go outside in the summer. Great, since everyone knows I am NOT a snow fan. Any takers on who wants to come play with my kiddo outside when it snows?!

He loved eating the snow.

All dressed up in his snow gear. He looks hilarous. I love that his hat from last year still fits him because I love it!

Fall fun

On Saturday morning we had lots of fun raking and playing in leaves. Lukas couldn't get enough. The fun even continued later that evening when Lukas played with his cousins in the leaves at grandma and grandpas. Now whenever we go outside this is what he wants to do.

Beleive it or not Lukas is under all those leaves.
