SNOW!!!

It snowed! It is pretty much melted now but it did snow! I am grateful for daddies who bundle themselves up and the kiddies and go out and play in the powder with them. The mom in this house doesn't really love the snow! Snow=bonding/special time with daddy!

The kiddies all bundled up ready to go out. They each picked out their own snow hats this year. Lukas loves his monster hat. Blair picked hers cause she thought the ears were sort of like a kitty.

First thing they did was make snow angels.

Then of course a snow ball fight! They also made a snow man, and an Elmo castle.

Another bike!

Dan and I have been talking about getting Lukas a new bike for a while. His other bike just did not cut it. The chain ALWAYS fell off. We would be riding the river trial and the chain would fall off. It would be so hard to put back on when you weren't close to home. We thought maybe a new bike for his birthday. However, while at Sam's Club today I found the PERFECT bike for him. It was a great deal and I knew this bike would hold up. It even came with a helmet which is perfect cause Blair needs one. Lukas loves his new bike and has enjoyed riding around the neighborhood today.

Ballet!

Blair started ballet a few weeks ago and she LOVES it! She gets so excited on Thursdays when I tell her it is ballet day. She takes at Vision Dance studio the same place Lukas takes his hip hop class. Blair is a little lonely though cause she is the only student in Toddler ballet! She needs some friends! They just opened though so I am sure that it will only be a matter of time before she has some cute little friends join her. For now she is just getting private lessons for a great price. ;) She is learning a dance for the Christmas show case to Rocking around the Christmas Tree.

Blair picked out her own outfit this week to wear. She kept saying, "I look so pretty!" We also got her some ballet shoes and she loves to put them on and dance around the house as well.

Family pics 2011

We got our family pictures done this year! My friend Shanda with Shandaleighphotography.blogspot.com did them for us. I have to say I have the cutest kids in the world! They did fab and were such little posers. We took the pics by our house on the river trail. I really loved the location and how they turned out. Now I just need to decide what to print and display, and which ones to use on my Christmas cards. Here are some of my favorites.

Blair makes the funniest faces!
I am pretty sure this is my favorite family picture.
SOOOO dang cute!
Lukas insisted on wearing his bat man rain boots for the pictures. I was really hesitant at first. In the end we decided to let him. We figured him being happier was more important then what shoes he wore. We also figured that down the road we will love that his little personality will be found in our family photos.

8 years and still in love!
Nope promise I am NOT pregnant! Just a little chubby ;) Seriously, though at first I didn't like this pictures and I would look at this one and others and think bad thoughts about myself. Then I started looking more and you know what I love it. It is who I am. As moms and women we need to start embracing who we are more. So what if we have gained a little weight. Why do we need to obsess so much over it. It may just mean I enjoy baking treats (and eating them too) with my family. It also means we have been super busy and the gym has taken a little back burner. I love myself and my family and that is all that matters!

Can't say it enough, my kids are the CUTEST!!!

preschool parade!

On Halloween Lukas had his preschool Halloween party. They always do a Costume trick or treat parade around the block. The parents are invited to watch. It is so cute to see all the little kids in their costumes!
This is Lukas and his BFF Max from preschool! They have so much fun together. We have even had a few play dates with him. He has a little sister Blair's age as well. Every day when I pick Lukas up from school he and Max are BEGGING to play!

Just finishing up at the parade.
