Christmas Day

Christmas was really exciting this year. Both of our kids really got into it and were so excited. Lukas was kind of sad that he didn't get to see Santa deliver his presents, but he will live! That morning Lukas woke first and asked if Santa came. We told him to sit on the couch and wait for Blair to wake up. We had all the Santa gifts covered with a blanket so he couldn't see. Well he looked in the kitchen and saw the box to the power wheels and said "Who's car is that?" "Where is that car?" Well the surprise was ruined so we woke Blair up so she could participate in the fun times.

They both loved the Red Mustang. Lukas said "It's a Mustang just like grandpas." Sure is buddy sure is!
Who knew Pez could be so exciting?

This was all Lukas asked for this year. He wanted bat man toys SO bad! Every time we went to Wal Mart and he saw it he would say "Oh that is just what I want!" When he opened this present he screamed "That is just what I wanted!"
This was another hit. Aunt Suzanne and Grandma B gave him a gator remot control car. He played with this the most of any of his toys.
Both my kids got fishing poles. Grandpa is teaching Blair how to cast. There is no better teacher of fishing then Lukas and Blairs Grandpa!

We took the car out for a little spin! Blair didn't think Lukas went fast enough she kept telling him to go go go! Funny story when I told Lukas we were going to go to Grandma and Grandpas for dinner he asked if he could drive his car. HA HA. I laughed so hard.
Blair can't quite reach the pedal yet! Soon though!
We had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Cranes. Grandma B, Aunt Suzanne, Aaron and Debbie joined us. Blair is obsessed with dip. I think she ate half the dip herself. She made a mess but got her fix of it!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve in our family is spent with Dan's family! It is always a great time. A little chaotic with all the cute grand kids. However, I wouldn't have it any other way. My kids are so lucky to have so many cute cousins to play with and be friends with.

Here are my kids opening up their first Christmas present. They always get books about the true meaning of Christmas. We read them and reflect on why we celebrate Christmas. Blair however would NOT let us read her, her books. She kept taking them away and saying, "mine, Mine!" She was pretty possessive of her little board books.

Every year the grand kids act out the nativity scene. It is the cutest thing ever. Lukas was supposed to be a cow. He refused and we had to improvise a shepherds costume. He looked cute anyway. Blair was an angel. The only two angles were Gracie and Blair. I have to say they made the cutest little angels ever! After we were done and taking off their costumes Blair refused to give up her wand and Gracie refused to take of her crown.

Lukas opening his cousin gift. He got super hero squad toys. Oh how this kid loves his super heros!
Grandma and Grandpa W gave him an Iron Man 2 helmet. He really wanted this and was so excited that he got it!
Blair got the little people Noah's Ark. She loves it. She was so funny when she would open presents she would say "Whoh" This continued over to Christmas DAy.

Winter Wonderland

As many of you woke up to the Winter Wonderland as did we! I woke up and started shoveling. Lukas had preschool and I wanted him to go to his Christmas party. They ended up cancelling Nebo school district due to the buses getting stuck. So in the end Ms. Valerie thought she should probably cancel pre school as well. So instead we just played at home, played in the snow, and made sugar cookies for Santa. The kids had a great day.

Please don't call CPS on me I promise he was only in there for a second! ;) Seriously though he asked we did it and he cried. HA HA.

Blair LOVES the snow! She loves being burried in it. Her favorite thing to do is throw snow balls at us. She loves to pick up the snow but sometimes she is to lazy to actually come hit us with it. She will yell out mommy, daddy till we go over and let her throw it at us.

Our neighbors made a cool fort. It even has a slide. Lukas had so much fun playing with his friends on it. We played outside for well over an hour.

Christmas outfits

Today my kids wore their Christmas outf fits to church. They looked so cute! I sure love these kiddies!

The cute happy pictures I got this morning.

The sad reality pictures I got! Lukas kept trying to put his arm around Blair for the pics. Lets just say she wasn't having it! She was mad and didn't want Lukas to touch her. Lukas was upset because he was trying to be a good big brother and show her some love. These were the pictures that resulted from that. HA HA. Even though they are upset I love them!

Santa

Yesterday we took the kids to see Santa! Lucky us there was NO line! Lukas was so excited. He even wrote Santa a note that said Merry Christmas, Lukas and took it too him. This Santa was so nice and was great! Lukas just sat there and told him what he wanted. Blair was totally mesmerized. I was just happy she sat on his lap. She just kept looking at him and then back at us with an expression of what the heck on her face! Just 11 more days and Santa will be visiting our house!

Snow

I have been meaning to post these pictures for a while now, but am just getting to it. This was the first real snow storm we had where the snow actually stuck. Lukas had been wanting it to snow for so long. He wanted to build a snow man more then anything. Sadly, he didn't get to build one this day because the snow wouldn't compact. They had fun rolling in it and throwing it at each other though.

She looks so funny all bundled up in her snow clothes!

He was so happy to play in the snow. We didn't get to play long because the wind picked up and it starting snowing/hailing. The snow that was hitting us hurt Lukas's ears. So we came inside and warmed up. Kind of funny that it took us longer to put on the snow clothes then the time we actually took to play outside.

Ogden

Yesterday we went up to Ogden and stayed the night. We went with my parents, Grandma and Aunt. My grandma is from Pleasant View about five minutes passed Ogden so we took advantage of going to where she grew up. We stayed at the Ben Lomande Historic Hotel. It was beautiful. When we got there my parents and aunt/grandmas room was ready but ours wasn't. So they upgraded us for free! We stayed in a mini apartment with a kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was great! That night Ogden had a light parade and also lighted up their city. My parents hotel room faced the street so we were able to have a good view of the light parade without being in the freezing cold. My kids loved the parade. Lukas especially loved the Star Wars float. He thought it was cool to see Jedi's and their light sabers running around. Blair just thought the whole think was great. She kept saying "Oh Wow!" Ogden also has a little mini Christmas Village. It is so cute. A bunch of cottages with cute window displays. It was right across the street from our hotel so we went and looked after the parade. We didn't last too long cause Blair got cold. She refused to wear her gloves or put her hands in her blanket. Needless to say her hands were FREEZING! That night we played games and enjoyed each others company. This morning though we had to have a quick breakfast and leave cause we were worried about the snow packed roads.

This is the house my grandma grew up in. It use to be a red brick house.
My great grandpa built this house which is right next store to the house my grandma grew up in.

My kids had so much fun watching the light parade outside the window.

We also celebrated my grandma's bday while we were there.
This is one of the houses in the Christmas Village. This is a replica of our hotel.
Blair enjoying playing at breakfast. Lukas did NOT want to come home. He cried when we left and for a good ten minutes after. We had a great time. The only frustrating part was when we got home and got Blair out of the car seat and realized she had a blow out all over the car seat! We spent the afternoon cleaning car seats. HA HA.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving eating yummy food and enjoying family! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I am so grateful for so many things. This year my list maybe a little long but truly I feel so blessed.

* I am so very grateful for fertility treatments and modern medicine. Without them I wouldn't be a mommy. Being a mommy is my GREATEST blessing. My two cute kids above mean the world to me. Being a mom is pretty much who I am.
* I am grateful to be Dans Wife. I don't know how I lucked out on such a great adventure. I am not sure there is a better dad out there. He loves and adores his children. He never complains that I go out or go to the gym because he gets to spend time with them. He always tells me he loves me and that I am beautiful.
* Our new home. We have almost lived here a year now and it has been awesome. This will be our first Christmas here. I am so excited! We just got done putting up our decorations and it was so much fun. I can't wait to start celebrating Christmas in our cozy house.
* I am grateful for family. Both mine and Dans. They are always so wonderful. My kids are so lucky to have two grandma's and grandpa's that love them so very much.
* I am so grateful for the gospel and the peace it brings me. I am so grateful that the Savior atoned for our sins and made it possible to live with him again. I am so grateful for answered prayers. I am grateful that I have the freedom to pray and worship the way I feel. Not everyone has that opportunity.
Truly there is so much love around me and my little family. I won't lie sometimes satan rears his ugly head and makes me feel pessimistic. He makes me feel like I am not worthy of blessings or gratitude. However, I know I need to be more grateful and on days like today I see blessings all around me.

Knocked out

Two nights ago this little girl knocked herself out! She was jumping on the couch and tripped and hit her head on the arm rest of the couch. She was out for about 30 seconds but it felt like an eternity! I called the after hours right away and they said bring her right in. We headed over and were lucky enough to get our own pediatrician. That is so rare, but we were so grateful. He looked her over and said she seemed fine and to just wake her up 3 times that night to make sure she fully wakes up. I just let her sleep by me cause I was so scared. I even let her stay up till 11 cause I wanted to watch her and make sure she did okay. She did fine and was her total normal self the next day.

Snow

I think my kids REALLY want it to snow! They played in these coats for an hour. I am sure their little minds were filled with dreams of snow covered yards and snow men. I however, would be fine if it only snowed at Christmas.

Don't worry Blair has her own coat she just wanted to wear Lukas's for a bit. Yes, Blairs coat is pink :)
