Getting cuter everyday.

There are two reasons for the post. The first one is obvious because yes, he is getting cuter everyday. The second reason is because I need to write some great and wonderful things about my little man after he drove me nuts today! Thank goodness he is so cute or else I wouldn't have made it through today. Lukas seriously cracks me up he is learning so much. He loves to give fives and rock! He loves his daddy and wants him to do everything with him. He is a great napper, I usually get about three hours out of him everyday. He is the best sharer. Seriously we were at the pool yesterday and we brought a few balls to play with there. He kept giving them to other kids to play with. He wouldn't take no for an answer either. At church if there is a kid in front of us he gives EVERY SINGLE toy he has to them. Hopefully he keeps this up. Tonight he helped mommy pick up all his toys before bed time and he did a great job. He is so cuddly and loves to give kisses. When you take his picture he loves to look at them when you are done. I don't know what I would do without this little man in my life. Yes, even on the days he drives me nuts. I just need a little reminder.

Lets hear it for the boys!

Every year grandma (Dans mom) throws a sleepover bash one for the boys and one for the girls. Friday night was the boys sleepover party. It was a magician theme and the boys had so much fun. I know it takes a lot of work but the boys loved it so much and appriciate all grandma does for them. Lukas isn't old enough to sleepover yet, but he still got to particpate in all the fun activites. A magician came and performed and also made balloon animals. Lukas loves to be around his cousins. I don't blame him there are lots of them to give him attention and love.

Lukas actually pausing for a break of mostly running around to watch the magician.

He actually sat with A.J. for a while. How nice of A.J. to let him sit on his lap.

The magician juggled fire! Lukas cried at this.

Lukas's balloon is a tractor

Lukas thought his tractor was pretty neat. However, he kept putting it on the grass and it would pop.

Utah holiday

Mapleton has a little Pioneer Day celebration every year. They do a little parade and a little carnival with games at the park. While Dan was working my mom and I took Lukas to the parade and carnival. Lukas loved pretty much everything about the parade. Well, except one thing, the MARCHING BAND! He was totally fine when the police cars, ambulances and fire trucks came by with the loud sirens. However, he hated when the marching band came by. He seriously started screaming. He has never heard one before so maybe he just didn't like the loud drums. I was surprised because he loves music. He loved that they threw out candy at him and he would go and get it and put it in the stroller. He also loved to wave at the little kids in the parade. His favorite thing about the carnival was the snow cone.

Eating his snow cone. It went everywhere. On his shirt down his diaper.
Picking up the candy to put in the stroller.

This is how hard he cried at the marching band. Can you say terrified?

Me and Lukas watching the parade. (I realize that I already look really pregnant in this picture. Really though it is just the way I am sitting.)

Yay for corn on the cob!

One of my favorite things about summer is corn on the cob! This is our first time having it this year. Harward Farms is my favorite. It just opened up by our house. Of course I had to stop by and get some. This was Lukas's first time ever eating corn on the cob. He had about four bites then was done. He is sort of having a vegetable adversion lately, so four bites was pretty good for him. I don't think that I ever want summer to end. There are just so many wonderful things to do and eat.

Mr. Fix it

The screws were a little loose on our computer chair, so Dan pulled out his power drill to tighten them. The minute he pulled it out Lukas got all excited and was so interested in it. He wanted to get in all the action and excitment of fixing it. We let him have at it. He felt so big and just kept tightening the screws just like daddy.

He has a look of intense concentration on his face.

18 months!

Lukas turned 18 months old yesterday! I can't believe how old he is. We had his check up yesterday. He screamed bloody murder yet again when the Dr. or any of the nurses got too close. He weighed in at 24.2 pounds 25th percentile. He is 33 inches tall 71 percentile. He has been holding steady around 24 pounds the past little while. He had to get one shot since they were out of the DTAP last time. I also had them check his blood sugar. He drinks so much and pees a ton as well. I was a little worried about diabeties. I was so glad that his levels were fine. We are so proud of him and how much he is learning. He amazes me everyday with how much he is accomplishing.

I don't care that I am not in my swim suit!

Yesterday Lukas and I swam in the back yard in the kiddie pool. After we had come inside and I had gotten Lukas dressed again he wanted to go back outside. We were playing in the front yard throwing pop its (he is obssessed with these.) when he bolted for the back yard. As soon as he got to the back yard he went straight for the pool. I hadn't had a chance to empty it yet. He didn't even hesitate and jumped right on in. Silly boy just loves to swim.

Peek a boo, I see you!

Look how full his diaper is! HA HA.

The swimming pool wasn't enough he had to play in the hose again for the hundredth time that day!

Fourth of July

We had a great Fourth! We got to celebrate with both sides of the family. We had lots of yummy food and such great company. Lukas had a blast playing all day. He loved playing with all his fun cousins. It was really fun to see family from out of town, and family we hadn't seen in a while.

Lukas taking a little snooze before all the festivities began!

Lukas loves swimming! We are so glad we got to do some on the Fourth of July!

Luks is obssessed with this out door game out grandma and grandpas. You throw these balls and try and get them onto the the poles. Each section is worth different points. Lukas loves to go put the balls and them and laugh.

Lukas was trying so hard to push Sofia on the tractor! Funny thing is, is Sofia could push him and she is smaller then Lukas.

This was Lukas's face when fireworks began. He was not too fond of them.

After a bit Lukas was in awe and loved the fireworks.

A couple things

We have a birds nest in our cherry tree! We have been watching it for a while and at first we weren't sure if there were babies. Dan got a ladder and checked and sure enough there were three little baby Robins. Everyday Lukas and I go outside and check out the birds nest. Lukas LOVES birds and gets so excited to see the mommy bird in its nest. Today we actually saw the baby birds peeking over the nest. We even got to see the mommy bird feed the baby birds. They are so cute.

Grandma got Lukas a little plastic golf set. When he got home he played golf with daddy! This set even has little holes you can hit your golf balls into. Lukas has been playing with toy all night last night and all day today. I think he has just seen Dan go golfing a lot lately and wants to be just like him.

Can I come too dad?
