Fun park playdate
Today we had a fun play date with some friends at the park. I hadn't been to Discovery Park in a long time so I forgot how much fun it was. It is so big and spacious with so many fun things. Lukas had a blast. He didn't want to leave even though we had been there two hours.
He didn't see these spinny things until the end of the play date and I think the new find made him not want to come home.

Unfortunetly Lukas's fish died after just a few short days. They were aneroxic fishes anyways. They were tiny and when you would feed them they would not eat ANY food. So I knew it was a matter of time. Poor Lukas though was so confused as to where his fish went. He would take our hands and say fish and then stand in his room and stare at the shelf where they use to be. We figured we better try again and get him some new ones. This time we bought some bigger better gold fish. They are more plump and eat the food the second you give them the food. Yes, we did invest in a fishbowl and the fishbowl even came with rocks and trees. Hopefully we do much better this time around because Lukas is obsessed with his pet fish.

A little phone obsession
Lukas seriously has a slight phone obsession right now. He loves to talk on it. I swear we call grandma about five times a day. He seriously would talk on it for hours if we would let him. I had to tell my mom to hang up on him one day because he just kept going. I tried to get the phone away from him but he would just scream. I told her if she didn't hang up on him he would just keep going and going (probably like the energizer bunny.) He prefers to talk to a real person but is known to talk to an imaginery one as well. Today on our walk he even put his hand up to his ear and started talking like he was on the phone! I guess that was the next best thing.

Fish
Imagine my surprise when I woke up yesterday morning and saw three goldfish swimming in a bowl while getting Lukas's breakfast. I guess someone at Dans work were using them as a joke and Dan brought them home for Lukas. Lukas is so excited over his new fish. He seriously would not stop staring at them. He just kept saying fish fish. We went to Reams and got this tubberware container to put them in and some goldfish food. I was looking for a fish bowl but they didn't have one. I wasn't in the mood for a trip to Wal Mart so a tubberware container it is. The whole day he kept taking us by the hand and taking us to his room (that is where his fish live now) to look at them. He had a hard time going to sleep last night because he just kept staring at them. He stood in his crib and kept pointing fish fish. I finally had to go in there and tell him his fish went night night and were sleeping and that so should he. It did the trick he went to sleep right away after that. Unfortunetly one died today so we only have two fish left. We knew that this might happen. The fish that died was so little. Hopefully the other two live for a bit. If not I think they only cost a quarter and we can buy little Lukas some more.

happy bday grandma!
Since tomorrow is my moms bday we wanted to make a cake for her. I asked Lukas if he wanted to make a cake and he got super excited. He kept grabbing my hand and fingers and leading me to the kitchen. I was trying to finish a few things but he was to impatient to wait. So we baked a lovely cake that we will get to enjoy with Grandma tomorrow. Hope your birthday is fabulous. Thanks for being such a great mom and grandma.
Lukas enjoying the cake batter. I can't blame him it is super yummy!

HA HA
I was on the computer while Lukas was playing. I heard him playing with his cement truck, but there was a lot of pauses in between pushing. I turned around to see Lukas riding it! First of all this is NOT a ride on toy. It is just a normal truck with some balls in the back to play with and push around. It dumps the balls out and so Lukas dumped the cement truck and sat on it. Second, how can that even be comfortable? It cracked me up. I have seen him sitting on it before but it usually only lasts a few seconds and he gets off it. This time he actually made it half way across the room just riding it.
