Christmas Tag

I have been tagged with Christmas questions!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Well I am really bad at wrapping presents so I prefer gift bags but I still do wrap presents. They may not look the best but it is the thought that counts right?

2. Real tree or Artificial? Always real! Dan hates this because he doesn't like to put on the lights every year. However, I am not budging going out and picking out a Christmas tree is such a fun family tradition.

3. When do you put up the tree? Usually the day after Thanksgiving.

4. When do you take the tree down? Around New Years.

5. Do you like eggnog? Heck NO! Dan does though.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? I don't know maybe the bike I got one year

7. Hardest person to buy for? Parents

8. Easiest person to buy for? Lukas

9. Do you have a Nativity set? A few of them. One I made the first year we were married. One Dan got me for my bday and I love it. We also have a smores nativity and it is really cute.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? mail

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I can't think of anything

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? The Christmas Story and Elf

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Sep or Oct.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? I don't think so.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? All the yummy treats!

16. Lights on the tree? Ummm yeah!

17. Favorite Christmas song? I like them all.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home. Most of our family is pretty close.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Sure can

20. Angel on the tree-top or a star? A bow

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We open presents at Dans parents on Christmas Eve and Lukas opens up his Christmas Eve book every Christmas.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Shopping the malls and stores are way to crowded and people can be so rude. Especially at Wal Mart.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? We love our smores ornaments.

24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? I just like it all

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? For Lukas to have a fun Christmas (and if we can afford it a GPS system for my car because I get lost REALLY easy)

Wendy said...: Nate got me a GPS for my birthday in June and seriously do not know how I ever did it before, I was lost all the time. We got it on an online deal from Costco, it's a Garmin and it talks to you. It's normally $300 but had it for $200, and i've seen them do it again so you might want to check. Lukas sayings

Trying to figure out our room situation for when Lettie comes. Lukas: "She can sleep in my room." Me: "What if she wakes you up crying in the middle of the night?" Lukas: "It's okay I will just sing her a lullaby and she will go back too sleep."
"Sometimes I wish I was a drink, then I would be able to see what the inside of a tummy looked like."
"Blair, sit in my bat man chair,and lets pretend that we are at Aunt Suzanne's salon. "
Lukas: "We need to get a pet. Like a fish or something." Me: "We have had a lot of fish and they always die." Lukas" Ya cause I squish them!" (FYI he does NOT squish them.)
After letting Blair out of her room in the morning. She started running and Lukas said "Holy crap Blair are you excited to go downstairs?"
While eating ice cream "Mom, this card board topping is so good." (carmel topping)
"I had a bad dream where I was in Star Wars, but the Star Wars roads turned into Candy Land!"
"Blair your so cute! Your my little princess! Tour my favorite princess! I love you!"
Listening to a guy speak Spanish " Mom, where did he learn to speak Dora?"
"Did you know that Spider man is a Chicken egg expert? That and a spider expert."
"Mom dinner was really good tonight. Also when you make White macaroni and cheese that is really good. Also Chilli too!"
"Dad you need to shovel the back yard so we can play."
While playing house with Blair. "I need to go to the grocery store by myself. I am going to call bat man to come and baby sit."
"Look mom I can stand on one foot like a Mango" "Do you mean a flamingo?" "Yes."
Lukas "Mom are we going to ever have another baby?" Me: "Eventually but not for a little bit." Lukas: "Are we going to have two at one time?" Me:" I hope not one would be plenty." Lukas: "Hmmm I think we will have two at a time. Yup I want two babies."
"Blair, you need to be nice. Jesus would want you to be."
While watching the light parade "I use to be that guy" (I guess he believes in reincarnation.)
"Did you know I use to be a girl?"
"I really wish we could just get into the t.v."
"Ewwww, Blair is picking her scabs. Mom, She picked her scabs all the way off and didn't even cry! Thats kind of awesome."
Lukas: "I can't find the stars." Me: "That is cause it is to cloudy and the clouds are covering them" Lukas: "Thats rude of the clouds."
"I can't run very fast today because I got a flu shot" ( he got a flu shot in his arm.)
While in the tub "Mom, can you bring me a book so I can lay back and relax and read."
"I tooted 3 times. Excuse me once, excuse me twice, excuse me three times."
A commercial came on for a new show and two people were fighting and Lukas said "We don't kill people"
Me: " Do you like your preschool teacher" Lukas : "Yes" Me: "She is so nice." Lukas: "We don't call her teacher though we call her Ms. Valerie"
" I'm Mr. Cool."
"We need to get bunk beds so I can share a room." Who are you going to share a room with?" "daddy"
"Where is my other shoe? I think it is playing hide and seek."
"Look at those big horn cows." (He calls bulls big horn cows no matter how many times I tell him it is a bull.)
"Being big is great!"
"I like our new house." (he kept calling our hotel our new house.)
"Get Blair in the high chair for time out"
I was getting Blair out of the car and I left my door open and Lukas said " I am going to shut your door cause I don't want birds to poop in it."
"We need to follow the prophet cause he knows the way. Plus I like him."
"Blair doesn't speak English cause she is a baby."
Pointing to Abe Lincoln on the penny "Is this Joseph Smith?"
While pointing at a picture of the prophet. "This is the prophet guy." Then he busted out in the follow the prophet song.
Lukas: "What kind of salad is that?" Me: "Lettuce, do you want some?" Lukas"No, I don't like it. Maybe when I am older like you and daddy I will try some and like it."
While talking to grandpa on the phone "You can't work out on the garage today cause it is raining. You better just stay inside and watch your shows."
"I wake up to early." (He says this every morning and it is TRUE!)
"Can Jesus come over to our house and play Mario with me?"
"Jesus is my friend."
"I'm mad at you for telling me to clean up. I'm to tired."
Me:"Can I have a kiss?" Lukas: Mom, you have pink lipstick on your lips so no."
Lukas: "What you doing dad?" Dan: "Going to the bahtroom." Lukas: "Thats my bathroom use your own bathroom."
"Amen!" He has been saying this every time we are done reading a book. Its funny to me. I guess he just agress with the book :)
"Your pee is yellow just like mine dad"
"Move out of my parking spot!" (Blair was trying to push him out of his spot on the couch.)
"Thanks Blair for playing upstairs with me and reading books with me."
"Stop taking my pango!" AKA the penquin suit on Mario Brothers.
"Can I wash my hands in the washing machine?"
While I was feeding and putting Blair down for bed. "I need to give Blair a kiss." He kisses her and says " I love you Blair, good night sweetheart."
While playing Mario on the Wii. "Oh shucks, I died again." (He dies a lot.)
"When I grow up I am going to have a baby Lukas and a baby Blair." (I am assuming this means a boy baby and a girl baby.)
"Your bugging me daddy, and I am bugging you."
"I want to call santa and thank him for my camera and presents."
"It's amazing! Santa ate all the cookies and drank all the milk I gave him."
Me: "Lukas, will you put that toy away in the toy box?" Lukas: "I am too busy mom!"
While watching t.v. an infommercial came on for a cleaning product and Lukas said "mom do you have that?" "No I don't." "Do you want it?" "Not really Lukas." "Well I think you should ask Ho Ho (santa) for it."
"Apple juice makes my pee go fast."
"Oh my gosh!"
"Grandpa told me to stop picking my nose and it made me sad."
"Cookies make me strong!"
While riding his tonka truck "I am going to the temple."
"I'll watch Blair so you and mommy can go to the temple."
While cleaning the play room "Mom, your a really good helpler."
"When I grow up I want to be Santa Clause"
Talking about Blair "Her my best friend."
Us:" What's Blair's full name?" Lukas: "Blair Aunt Suzanne Wilkinson."
"All guys fart, Big guys fart."
"Hi Sweetheart" (This is what he has been calling Blair lately.)
While watching Ice Age 3 Lukas: "I want a baby elephant." Me: "You already have a baby Blair." Lukas: "I don't want a baby Blair anymore. I just want a baby elephant."
"Do you love me so much?"
"Honky, Honky" (We don't know what this means but he says it a lot especially when he is mad it is like his swear word or something.)
"Somebody farted in here. Oh it was probably me! " (While pointing at himself.)
"I need to go potty so I can have some choclate."
While with my mom " I picked mommy a flower" Grandma: "For what?" Lukas: "So she can go dancing" Grandma " Who is going to take her?" Lukas: "Me"
"Mommy, will you watch my kids while I go to the bathroom?"
"Daddy, your hands have germs on them you need to wash them."
"I'm just thinking about food."
I got a new head band today and when I put it on Lukas said " You look like a doll mommy, a pink one."
Me:"Don't do that Lukas" Lukas: What, I'm not doing anything." (He does this while putting his hands up in the air or on his hips. He has MAJOR attitude!"
" Pointing at the stop sign, look mom it is an octagon"
" Einstens is my favorite favorite show!"
Pointing at the scriptures "Those are scriptures we read them at church." (Apparently we need to work on reading them at home more ;)
I told Lukas I wasn't feeling very well and he replied "You should go to the Drs. mommy, they will make you feel better. They will give you a shot and you will be okay."
While looking at the horses me: "Maybe we can ride a horse one day" Lukas:"Yes, then I will put my cowboy boots on first"
After Elmos world was over "Bye Bye Elmo I love you!"
While camping for our reunion " I want to go home to mommy's house"
While trying on his new jackets for fall " This jacket is awesome mom I love it!"
"Elmo was supposed to call me, but Elmo is a sleep."
While holding Blair " I love her!" ( He hardly ever says he loves anyone he has only said it to me three times. So I thought it was really sweet.)
While watching Americas Next Dance Crew "Those girls are hot!"
"i'm hungry in the tummy!"
"Blair wants to sit by me and watch Elmo"
Me "What happened to your forhead?" Lukas, "The shark bit me."

Me and Dan:"Don't eat the cherries they are gross they have worms in them" Lukas: "Well Grandpa eats the cherries"
While swimming at the provo pool "I am taking a tubby mommy!"
While chopping onions for our soup "My eyes sting I need my sunglasses mom"
"Look at the big rocks on the mountain. The mountains are tall to the sky!"
Your a stinky skunk (He loves calling people this)
While putting his elmo doll in Blairs bouncer "Look at me mom Elmo is funny in Blairs bouncer"

While pushing her stroller, "Bye mom, I am taking my baby to the drs. She needs her ears checked."
While putting Blair to bed. Me:" Can I sleep with you?" Blair: "No, you need sleep in your own bed."
"Hopper Hopper, jump on me and kill me." (grass hopper jumped on her and it is going to kill her.)
