What a mess!

Lukas had a little bit of a bathroom issue this morning. This meant we had to change a few diapers. Well he was getting a little diaper rash so I put some Gold Bond baby powder on his bum and in his diaper (this always clears it up for us.) Well I left the bottle of baby powder sitting there while I went to throw the dirty diaper outside. I was gone literally ten seconds when I came back to this! The bottle was closed but Lukas opened it and I found him shaking it all over the place. Seriously, he was covered and so was our entertainment center, floor and television. It took me a while to clean up the mess. I had to snap a few pictures though. Either Blair will be SO good or be right there with Lukas because he teaches her these things.

Dan did bring me home flowers today which was really sweet and brightened up my day! Thanks honey!

Circus

Today my mom took Lukas and I to the circus. I wasn't sure how well Lukas would do and if he would enjoy it. Well he LOVED it! He had a so much fun. He paid attention to the whole show and didn't act bored once. He did keep asking if we could go down to the floor while the acts were on. I had to explain to him we just watch the show. He loved the tigers and lions. He kept pointing at them and saying tiger and then he would growl. He clapped when he was supposed too. He danced a lot. He kept saying oh wow and laughing. He was really into it. I am so glad he enjoyed it. It is so much fun to do things with your kids. They are so entertaining and make everything fun. He was so sweet in the middle of the show he would just lean over and give me and grandma kisses. Then he would switch over to hugs. It was like he was saying thank you for bringing me to the circus. Grandma deserves all the credit though she saw it advertised and bought the tickets and spoiled Lukas (and I) at the show. Thank you grandma for a fun time.

Yes, I realize I am hugely pregnant.

Before the show and during intermission you could buy tickets to ride pony's and elephants and get your face painted. They even had a bear and you could get your picture taken by him. Grandma spoiled Lukas and let him go on a pony ride.

We weren't sure if Lukas would like an elephant ride because it is SO high. So we decided to opt out.

Sneak peak

About a week ago we had Lukas's two year pictures done. This is the sneak peak picture we got off of Nately's blog. We did a rock star theme because Lukas is really into guitars and music right now. Meet binky bear

Lukas is starting to feel better (even though he is still coughing) so we thought we better take the binky away. Miss Blair could make her arrivial at anytime and we don't want to cut it any closer then we already have. So I took Lukas to build a bear today and we made binky bear. We put his binky's inside him and sewed them up. Lukas picked out everything himself. He put the binky's in there no problem and was all excited. I knew that excitment had to come to an end though. Lukas played with Emma at the mall for a while then we had dinner there. When it came time to leave he was furious. He then started crying for his binky. I told him it went inside the bear and they are bye bye. We made it too the car (of course it was a fight) and got home. Well he cried off and on for a while for it. I distracted him with Elmo. However, he kept pulling chairs up to the counter trying to find an "extra one" lying around. Then he hugged the bear and then tried to open him to get them out. When it came time for bed time he flipped out and wouldn't let me read him a story he said no and threw the book. I tried to say prayers and he said no and pulled my arms a part. I finally just had to leave him in his room. He just keeps standing at the door screaming and saying binky mommy please. I feel so bad. I am sticking to my guns and trying to ignore the crying. Dan won't be home from work for a few more hours so hopefully he calms down soon. Tomorrow night though I am going out and it is Dans turn to tackle the binky issue by himself. Wish us luck!

V day cookies

After a little bit of a stressful week or so due to sickness (Lukas coughing and he still is), migraines, back injuries from shoveling snow which has = lots of Drs. visits I figured Lukas deserved a fun time. I decided to pull out the pre made valentine cookies I bought and let him have at it. I have to say I like the ones that I chose because they came with a package of icing as well.

Lukas put the cookies on the pan all by himself. It was funny though because he ate a few of the cookies instead of putting them on the sheet to be baked. He would do it really fast shoving them in his mouth in one bite. I guess he thought I would try to stop him or something.

Most of the frosting ended up in his mouth or on his face.

like daddy

Lukas is so funny because he always lays down and closes his eyes and starts snoring like daddy. I have been trying to get it on tape for a while but he doesn't cooperate as well while being taped. It is so cute and funny to hear him "snore" like daddy. He loves his daddy so much and is such a little daddys boy. (sorry if it is sort of blurry.)

Stuck in the house.

Poor Lukas has been stuck in the house for three days straight. He has a stuffy runny nose. It isn't horrible and he is acting fine. I am not sure if he has a small cold or if the cutting of his two year molars are causing it. In case it is a cold I haven't taken him out because I don't want to expose him to others or for him to get worse. Luckily mommy has been able to get out of the house thanks to daddy letting her run some errands that needed to be done. We have done a lot of things to try and keep Lukas entertained. We finger painted with the new paints he got for his bday, we played with playdough, read lots and lots of books mom checked out at the library today, played in the play room and danced.

I have NO idea what the bevis and butthead look is about. He just started doing this for some reason.

Peek a boo!

This is a cool basket ball hoop but warning it falls down really easy. Lukas just climbs on it though.

They must have worn each other out playing. Actually this happens fairly often. When Dan goes to lay by Lukas for naps he ends up falling a sleep too. Yes, that is a foam mattress pad for when we lay down by Lukas for nap time and bed time. It is getting shorter though and we don't have to lay by him as long. Just long enough for him to get pretty sleepy and then we can leave before he is a sleep. However, like you see here Dan usually just falls a sleep with him.
