New stroller
We got our double stroller! YAY! This might be boring news for some of you, but to me it is SO exciting. Not only because my new stroller is awesome, but also because it means I am going to be a mommy to two beautiful kiddies soon. Plus it is a bonus that Lukas seems to really like it. We have been having problems with him wanting to ride in the stroller. As soon as we put this one together he sat in it and didn't want to get out. He even started crying go ride. Too bad it was snowing really bad so we couldn't really go for a walk. I highly recommend this stroller (graco quatro duo)though because it folds down like a single stroller and it is really smooth. Also it has six cup/snack holders! The basket underneath is huge so it will fit lots of shopping bags which we all know as moms is a must. I was nervous it wouldn't fit in my tiny trunk but it does. I sound like an advertisment for Graco. I will end by saying I like it. Thanks mom for such an awesome baby gift that isn't just for Blair but for me and Lukas too!

baby
We have two cabbage patch dolls that Lukas loves. One that we have had for some reason for a while and another one that Blair got from my mom for Christmas. Lukas always asks where his baby is. He loves to give his babies hugs and kisses. One of them has teeth and he even brushes her teeth! It is really funny. We figured this would be good practice for when the "real" baby comes into our house. He has been known though to throw his dolls so I am sure we will have to make sure Blair doesn't leave our sight for a while. The other day when we went to my moms he had to have one of my old purses and he had to put his baby in the purse and take it to grandmas. I am sure he will make a great daddy in the future. For now though he will just have to settle on big brother.

Happy New Year!
This is Lukas celebrating the New Year by saying cheese and taking our pictures!I can't believe that another year has flown by! It feels like yesterday that we were ringing in 2008. I can't believe that in just a few short weeks my little guy will be 2! We have had so many great things happen this year. Dan graduated, we are having another little one (YAY for baby girls!) Lukas is growing and learning each and everyday. I feel truly blessed that the lord sent me my little guy and is entrusting me with yet another little one. Especially when on somedays I don't feel like I am the best mom I can be. I am working on it though and hope to have more patience and understanding. Being a mom is truly the most wonderful blessing ever! We are looking forward to 2009 and what it will bring. I have a feeling this year could be our most life changing ever. We could be moving somewhere new and possibly far away, depending on where Dan gets a job. Blair will be here to add to our family. I am excited for the adventure. I am glad I get to share it with Dan and be his companion. He truly is such a wonderful dad and husband! Anyway, enough of that. I hope that everyone had a great New Years Eve and New Years Day! We have truly been spoiled to have Dan home so much and have enjoyed it. We had Neil and Ali and Emma over on New Years Eve to ring in the new year. We had fun eating pizza, playing the Wii, and playing Apples to Apples and Skip Bo. Lukas and Emma had fun playing and had to get use to a mini sleepover (till about one) in Lukas's room. Lukas fell a sleep first and slept like a rock! Today on New Years Ali and Neil invited us over for dinner. It was so good. We had ham, funeral potatos, rolls, green bean casserole, and an awesome dessert. We felt spoiled. Thanks Ali and Neil for being awesome friends and keeping us company this New Years!

Play dough fun
Grandma gave Lukas a play dough kit for Christmas. I thought that we would get it out today and play with it. He loved it. He played with it for over an hour. There is a little mold that makes ice cream, cup cakes, corn and apples. Lukas did attempt to lick the ice cream cone. Once he realized it wasn't real though that was the end of trying.

Christmas Day
We had a great Christmas morning and day! Lukas had so much fun with his new toys and with unwrapping presents. He even opened pretty much all of mommy and daddy's presents. He was just so enthusiastic about it. Once we had all our presents unwrapped we had a yummy breakfast of cinnamon pancakes and apple cider syrup. Lehi Roller Mills makes Christmas breakfast REALLY easy and fast for me. I really recommend the syrup it is delecious. We pretty much stayed in our jammies all day till we went to my parents for Christmas dinner.
We had to keep telling Lukas to keep reaching because he would pull something out and then think he was done.

I think the shopping cart and kitchen were the two biggest hits this year.
I think Lukas likes my new high heels. What do you think? He kept putting them on and walking to the kitchen and cooking. It cracked me up.
Watching Ice Age 2 just before bed time on his new bean bag chair.

Christmas Eve
We had a great Christmas Eve. We spent most of the night at Dans family. It is so exciting for all the kids and all of them had a great time.

Lukas opening his one Christmas Eve present before heading to grandma and grandpas. Every year our kids will get a Christmas oriented book to open and read on Christmas Eve. All which will hopefully teach them the true meaning of Christmas and will have a good message. This was Lukas's book this year!

Cookies for Santa
Yesterday Lukas and I made sugar cookie dough to make cookies for Santa. With help from daddy we rolled them out and iced them this morning. I let Lukas stay in his jammies all morning (Purley selfish because I knew he would get dirty and I didn't want to change him twice.) and we got them all ready for santa. I didn't take many pictures of us icing the cookies because Lukas didn't really enjoy that part. I had to ice them and he would put the sprinkles on them. Of course he ate a ton of dough and a ton of sprinkles. He would eat the sprinkles and say "Yummy". We are glad that daddy is home with us during the day so that he can enjoy such fun things with us.
