Cabella's

We took Lukas to Cabella's yesterday. He had a blast. He loved the fishies, and all the animals. He was so excited he kept pointing at them and then clapping. Of course he also kept saying "Oh WOW". What would it be like to be a child again? Everything is so new and exciting to them. In a way as a new parent I feel like it is just as new and exciting experiencing it with him.

He couldn't resist he had to try and give the fish a kiss!

This is what happens when you take his sucker that a Cabellas employee gave him away. I was worried when it got so little that it would come off and he would choke. We took him to Thanksgiving point and let him pick some candy out at the candy store there. After that he was a happy camper.

Random things

Not a ton of things have been going on in our house hold. Just lots of playing and getting into things. I thought I would post some funny things that Lukas has been doing.

Eating some of daddy's frosty that he a gave him. I love his smile in this picture.

Today at lunch I gave Lukas his grilled cheese sandwich. I went into the other room to pick up something really quick while he was occupied. When I went back in the kitchen to join him for lunch he was a sleep with his grilled cheese sandwich on his chest. It was so cute. He didn't even make a peep when I took him out and put him in his crib.

Can you tell Lukas LOVES ketchup! He loves to dip and makes a huge mess. O well we don't care as long as he is happy.

Yesterday Lukas came in from the kitchen with the wax paper. He just started unrolling it and playing with it. I don't use it very often so I figured what the heck! He had a great time playing with it.

Such a little boy

Everyday Lukas looks more and more like a little boy and less and less like a baby. With everyday that passes he shows me something new that lets me know how fast he is growing up. He even told Dan to go away yesterday! We just set there stunned having no idea where he learned to say that. I promise we don't tell him to go away.He is all boy and loves playing outside and climbing all over the furniture. The other day was so nice and we had so much fun playing outside most of the day. I wish the odd weather would go away and give us some more nice days too play outside. I am so grateful for my healthy smart little boy. Sometimes I wish that he would stay little forever!

Lukas dumping all his sand toys out of his wagon

He was so upset that he couldn't push it.

15 month check up and silly pics

Lukas turned his chair over and climbed on it to watch Sesamee Street.

This is what Lukas looked like after the gum ball incident. Thank goodness for Oxi Clean spray. You can't even see speck of blue or green on his shirt or pants.

Lukas's first time eating a bean burrito from Del Taco

Yesterday was anything but boring in our house! It started out okay but around 10 I am in a different room then Lukas and it all of a sudden gets REALLY quiet. So I go in the kitchen too check on him to find him in daddy's lunch box. Normally no big deal, however there were gum balls in them. Lukas had three blue and green gumballs in his mouth and was drooling all over blue and green. I just took some pictures and tried too laugh it off. Later I was getting dressed too get ready to go to Lukas's 15 month check up. I go into the bathroom to find him in my make up this time. I don't know how he opened the bag but he did. I of course had to throw away some of it since he destroyed it. On a different note Lukas had his 15 month check up and we are so glad that he is growing and developing fine. He hates to be examined and immediatley started screaming when he saw Dr. Nielson. He kept trying to climb up the front of me and over the chair. Of course it wasn't working. I don't know why I was thinking that at 15 months it is the no shots visit but it was. I guess I got it confused for the 18 month visit. They were out of the D tap vaccine so he will still have to have a shot at his 18 month visit. When Dr. Nielson was leaving Lukas said Bye for the first time. Dr. Nielson said bye Lukas and Lukas waved and said Bye. I think he was just excited too be left alone.

Lukas's measurements

Height 31.5 inches 50th percentile. HMMM he was the same height at 12 months. We think he might have previously gotten measured wrong. Because at nine months he was 28.7 so that would have meant a three inch growth spurt in three months. So either he didn't grow taller or he was measured wrong previous. Dr. Nielson even measured him twice.

Weight 23.6 pounds 37 percentile.

Head 18.5 inches 45 percentile.

Lukas's new chair

I have been wanting to get Lukas his own chair for a while. He is obssessed with our furniture and getting on the couch ect. So I thought him having his own chair would be fun. They are so cute and they even rock! When UPS delivery came today and I was opening the box Lukas was so excited. He kept clapping and saying his famous "Oh WOW" the whole time I was getting it out of the box. He loves to sit in it and rock. It is so cute because he uses his whole body to get it too rock. His little head bops up and down. It cracks me up. Thanks Grandma Crane for helping us get such a neat chair. We LOVE IT!!!

Just chilling in my new chair.

Lukas has really been into the lotion lately. He keeps eating it. The other day I got into the shower and I came out to see him with lotion all over his shirt, nose and mouth. It cracked me up. Silly kid.

Here is the what the chair looks like without Lukas in it.

tagged

So I got tagged a while ago. Sorry Jen it just took me a while too get to it! So here it goes finally.

Where did you meet your husband?
In history class at UVSC

First thing said?

Well he got my number from a mutual friend. So the first time we actually talked was over the phone. I can't really remember what was said but I am assuming it was something like this.

Dan: Is this Brand?

Brandi: Yes

Dan: Would you like to go out on Friday.

Brandi: Sure
So that was probably the extent of our first every conversation.

First date? Well our very first date was too Brick Oven and then to a movie we saw the Sweetest Thing. Then we didn't really go out again until a year so our second first date was dinner at TGI Fridays and we went to see a comidean with his sister and her boyfriend at the time.

First kiss? On my front porch after watching a movie

Where did we get engaged? At Thanksgiving Point. In front of the bathroom. Needless too say it didn't really go according to Dans plans. Thats okay the bathroom was fine with me. (If you want the whole story feel free to ask.)

Where did we get married? We got married in the MT. Timpinogas temple. Our reception was at the county building in Provo.

Where did you go on your honeymoon? To Cancun Mexico. It was beautiful and I loved every minute of it.

I tag Karen and anyone else who wants to do this.

1 cool dude!

Lukas loves these old sun glasses of mine. He walks around all day putting them on and taking them off. He even puts them on and walks over to the t.v. and tries to watch it with them on. He usually puts them on upside down and a little crooked. It is still super cute and he will always be one cool dude too me!
