I like these!

After Lukas had dinner tonight we gave him some smores bars that I made. He LOVED them. As you can see he got very messy. He had marshmellows and chocolate everywhere. I think he got messier eating these then his bday cake. They are very good so I can't say I blame him!

He went straight into the tub when he was done!

Words

It is so funny when little ones learn to say words. Lukas is now saying a few things. Of course when he would first say them I would think did he really say that? Then he would say it again I would be like yup he said that. Of course I prompt him to keep saying it since it is so cute. So here are some things Lukas can now say. No (this was his first word.), Whats that?, Juice, Mom,dad, wow, and yes. I think he might also be saying bye bye but it comes out more like ba ba. So I am not quite sure on this.

Lukas LOVES his blocks. He also loves to put them in daddy's shoes. He likes to put balls as well in Daddy's work boots. If I can't find a toy I usually check there first.

Looking forward to warmer weather!

Lukas loves to sit in his wagon he got for Christmas. He sits in it and rocks back and forth to make it move. We just wish it was warmer weather so that we could go outside and go for walks in it. We can't wait till the snow melts and the sun shines! Lukas loves walks and we look forward to being able to using the wagon for them. As you can also see Lukas is VERY addicted to his binky.

bday party @G&G Cranes

Today we had Lukas's 1st bday party at his grandma and grandpa Cranes. It was fun celebrating with them and with my aunt, grandma, Jourdan, Lukas's girlfriend Anna and her mom Stefani. Lukas had a great time. He wasn't as enthusastic about the cake this time but he still dug in but got bored after a minute. I think he just wanted to play. He and Anna had so much fun playing together. They would crawl after each other and chase each other. Usually Lukas would lead the way but he would stop and make sure Anna was following him. If she wasn't he would stop and sit up and wait for her. He truly is a Gentleman.

The Fisher Price musical stage piano was a GREAT hit with Lukas and Anna.

One year check up!

Lukas had his one year well visit today. He is getting so big. He weighs 21 pounds and 11 ounces 33 percentile. He is 31.5 inches tall which is a whopping 95 percentile. His head was 18.3 inches which is 54 percentile. I think I might have a future basket ball player on my hands. He is just a really tall but skinny baby. They pricked his foot to check his iron levels and he didn't even flinch. Well that is about all he didn't cry about. He screamed bloody murder while Dr. Nielson examined him. The nurse came in and gave him his shots and he cried so hard he stopped breathing and the nurse thought he was going to pass out. He cried until I put him in his car seat and he passed out. Poor little guy. He is struggling tonight, he is just super fussy. I am just glad it is over with. I hate the visits with the shots. I loved the nine month check up free of pain and just a fun little check in to see how he was growing. Lukas is very healthy and developing just fine. We are so thankful to have a healthy baby.

Lukas is one!

One year ago today at 2:06 A.M. I was holding a newborn baby in my arms. That baby was mine! I can't believe little Lukas is one today. Boy, did time fly by fast. It was a bitter sweet day. I am happy that Lukas is growing and he is so much fun. At the same time I was sad that my baby is no longer a baby anymore. With each and everyday Lukas looks more like a little boy. He is such a sweet little thing always laughing and giggling. It is fun watching him learn new things. Knowing that Lukas is one today made me take it all in a little more. You can bet that when I put him to bed tonight I sang you are my sunshine twice instead of the normal once and gave him a few extra hugs, because before I know it he won't want to give his mommy hugs anymore.

Mommy and Daddy got Lukas a little people farm and little people dino land.

Lukas is finally getting the hang of unwrapping presents now that he has had a lot of practice.

Lukas loves his new ball popper toy, he could seriously play with it for hours.

Now that I am one I have to brush my teeth! (Really though it is because he ACTUALLY has teeth to brush now)

bday party @ G&G Wilkinsons

Today Lukas had his first bday party at Grandma and Grandpa Wilkinsons. I can't believe he is going to be ONE on the 9th. He is growing so fast. We had so much fun at Grandma and Grandpas celebrating with all our aunts, uncles, cousins and grandma and grandpa. Thanks for all the great gifts! Lukas had so much fun digging into his very first bday cake. He was sort of hesitant at first but once he knew what it was he dug right in and ate a ton of it. There was frosting in his hair and frosting in his ears. YAY for turning one!
