Meet Molly

Lukas has been wanting a dog for a LONG time! He kept telling grandpa he needed to get one. Well grandpa and grandma made his wish come true the other day. They got a cute little 7 week old lab named Molly! They even took Lukas with them when they picked him up. She is adorable and such a good dog.

Lukas loves Molly and asks me every day if we can go play with her.
Blair thinks she is cute too!
She chases her shadow. It cracks me up!

Blair is a little hesitant of her. She likes to pet her at times but then runs away other times. I think Molly really liked Blairs hair/hair bow. She was always trying to jump up and nip at it. This scared Blair a little. HA HA. Molly is so cute that Dan and I have even been talking about getting our own dog. Really though it would be more for Lukas. He needs a friend and a dog can make a great one! He has had some anxiety lately. So bad that he won't sleep and is constantly yelling for me and doesn't want me to leave the room. We are thinking maybe a dog would help? Who knows but if a dog would help I will get one!

Circus

Today Grandma and Grandpa took us to the circus. We had so much fun and many adventures! Some of our great adventures included: riding an elephant, getting our face painted, picture next to a bear, yummy cotton candy, yummy nachos, watching jugglers, watching tight rope walkers, clowns and much more!

Blair rode the elephant with grandma. What, you were expecting Lukas? Nope he opted out. All day he was asking me if he could ride an elephant. He wanted to so bad. He remembered last time we went that you could do so. Once we got there he was singing a different tune. He didn't want to ANYMORE! Of course my dare devil Blair was right on it.

YUMMY!!! Cotton candy is a great circus treat. Blair wasn't so sure of it at first but after a few bites she was hooked. She had a wipey on hand though because she didn't like her hands being sticky.
This is the bear my kids and grandpa had their picture taken with. Isn't he cute? They took the picture for us and gave us a copy. I tried to take my own as well but the guy kept getting in my way.

Lukas got his face painted like bat man!
Nachos are another yummy circus treat. You can tell Blair REALLY enjoyed them by the cheese all over her face.
Fun at the circus!
It totally tuckered my kids out. Blair was so tired she screamed all the way home. Hopefully this means they will sleep well!

Sunday celebration

On Lukas's actual bday the 9th we celebrated at grandma and grandpa Wilkinson's with all the fun aunts, uncles, and cousins. We had a yummy dinner, cake and ice cream and opened presents. Lukas is so lucky to have so many people who love him.

Blowing out his candles!
This got a little out of order but this is the pic before blowing out his candles.

Lukas with his cousins Cole and Max. He LOVES Cole and Max. They have so much fun together. I hope that my kids can always be such good friends with their cousins. Nothing beats family.

Lukas talking to his Aunt Staci and Uncle Doug on Skype. They are living in Australia while Doug does a tour for the play Hair Spray. They gave him this joker mobile we were trying to get him to say thank you. However, he just didn't understand the whole talking over the computer thing. He just kept staring at them like what the heck!

He got lots of fun bat man toys! This boy loves his bat man. He also got Donkey Kong for the Wii from grandma and grandpa. Also his cousins gave him their old DS. This kids is obsessed with any sort of video game. So his cousins thought they would give him their old one so the can play with it. He was so excited. However, it got a little broken but we saved it with duct tape. IT may look a little ghetto but we don't care as long as he can still play.
We love you Lukas and are so glad that we got to celebrate you turning 4!

Saturday Celebrations

Since Lukas bday was on a Sunday this year he pretty much got to celebrate the whole weekend. We started out on Saturday by asking Lukas what he wanted for breakfast. Of course he said donuts. So he and daddy went to Macey's and picked out donuts for our breakfast treat.

Enjoying his donut!

We then let him open his presents from us. He had been wanting Epic Mickey for the Wii for a while. He was so excited to get it! He also got a bat man book with him written into the story. Blair got him the Iron Man toy! I think she did a good job at picking it out. ;)

We then had a party with some of his friends. He was so excited for his bat man party. He couldn't wait to have his friends over to celebrate with him. We started out by playing the Mr. Freeze game. We broke off into two teams and each player would carry a piece of ice on the spoon and walk it over to the bowl and dump it in. Then run back and give the spoon to the next player. The kids had fun but pretty much didn't care if they went in turn or not they each just wanted to do it over and over.

Even Blair got to play.

We then played bat man batman joker. Just like duck duck goose but saying bat man bat man joker. This was a big hit and the kids loved playing it. They kept saying can I be tagged next can I be tagged next.

We then played pin the mask on bat man Lukas. Thanks to my grandma and my aunt who made and brought this game. It was so cute and the kids had so much fun playing it.

Of course no party is complete without cake and ice cream. We had so much fun at Lukas's party!

Lukas is 4!

Lukas doing his new favorite thing playing angry birds on the i touch!

I can't believe Lukas is 4! I know I say this every year but I can't believe that 4 years ago my miracle baby boy was born. I just remember wanting so badly to hold him. When you try for years and your dreams finally come true it is the best feeling. I craved, dreamed, prayed begged and pleaded for this little guy. Now he is 4 and oh so big! He is so full of life and has the most contagious laugh. I think his laugh is one of my favorite things about him. It almost sounds fake, yet I promise it isn't. When he laughs you laugh. He loves preschool and Ms. Valerie. He asks me every day if it is a school day. He can't wait to go and play with his friends and learn. He makes friends so easy and his favorite thing to do is play with his friends. He is stubborn and doesn't give in. We are hoping that he uses this to his advantage when he gets older. He loves any sort of video game. One of his favorite things to do is play Wii with his dad. He loves playing at his grandparents house and never wants to leave. He loves super heroes especially bat man! I secretly think he wants to be bat man when he grows up. He is a good big brother and always wants Blair to sit on his lap. He is still an early riser but mom is starting to get use to it (well sometimes.) His favorite foods are moms home made mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. I am so glad that I get to be this little boys mommy and that 4 years ago I got my wish!

Sun Beam

On Sunday Lukas became a Sun Beam! I am sure he is the oldest Sun Beam in his class with his 4th bday being on Sunday! He has been SO ready for this for a long time. So ready in fact that he has been refusing to go to nursery. He kept telling me and Dan that he was too big for nursery! So instead of nursery he had been going to Dans primary class with him. He did really well so we knew he would make a great Sun Beam. When it was time to be placed in class he went right in no hesitation what so ever. He was so excited and had so much fun! His teachers made him these cool Sun Beam glasses. I LOVE them! Every time he wears them I crack up! He enjoyed it so much that he keeps asking when church is again.

A year in review (and a few pics.)

The year 2010 like all the previous years contained ups and downs. However I feel really truly blessed by a great year. I wanted to write down some of my favorite things and greatest blessings of the year 2010!

1. On Dec28th it marked our one year anniversary in our new house! I love our new house. It is perfect for us. We have great neighbors and have made some great new friends. We are slowly decorating and making improvments as the funds and time allows. It has been so great to have our own space and our own house!

2. Blair turned 1 and is still quite the dare devil. She knocked herself out once. She completed the end of the year by hurting her leg and having to have it x rayed. Luckily everything turned out fine. She keeps me on my toes but makes life very exciting!

3. Lukas started preschool and LOVES it! He thinks Ms. Valerie is the greatest. I have enjoyed seeing him learn and make fantastic new friends. I enjoy seeing his smiling face come out the door every Tuesday and Thursday morning. He loves showing me the crafts he has done and telling me about his morning.

4. Dan worked very hard at his job this year. He was determined to get a team lead job. He worked hard and studied hard and improved himself. After a few interviews and showing he wasn't going to give in he got one! I am so proud of him!

5. I have enjoyed going on Field trips with Lukas. So far I have been to class pictures, Macey's, and the Pumpkin Patch. Dan even tagged a long with Lukas on one. They went to the Festival of Lights and since it was at night Dan was able to go. Lukas thought it was great.

6. I have been going to Zumba and enjoying it so much! It is so fun to dance and also get a great work out in. Going to the gym 3-4 days (5 if I am lucky) has really improved my mood and helped me feel confident in myself.

7. Blair is talking more and more each day. I love hearing her cute little voice repeat things and ask for things.

8.We took our first family vacation to Las Vegas. I was worried about the ride to and from but my kids impressed me and did fantastic. We had so much fun in Vegas and for sure survived our first real family vacation.

9. We spent a lot of time at both set of Grandparents houses. My kids love their grandparents and NEVER want to leave. My kids are so very lucky to have 2 sets of grandparents who love them very much.

10. This summer we spent a lot of time outside. Lukas got a big boy bike and loves it. Blair can almost ride the tricycle (can't wait for this summer cause I know she will.) My kids had fun playing with the neighbor kids.

11. Blair and Lukas took swim lessons and did a great job. Lukas was a little timid at first but I was so proud of his accomplishemnts by the end. He didn't want to go under water at all and was so scared. By the end he was almost swimming the little boy. Blair of course was a dare devil and had to be watched like a hawk because she would just go under water and jump in with no fear. The swim teacher said she never saw a girl her age like that.

12. Dan and I got called into the nursery and we are enjoying getting to know the little kiddies in our ward. Lucky Blair gets to have us be her nursery leaders.

We loved 2010 and can't wait to see what 2011 brings. We have some fun things planned. The biggest one of all DISNEYLAND! Can't wait to take my kids on such a fun family vacation. We hope every one has a great 2011.
