swim diaper swimming!

Today Lukas and Emma played at my parents on the slip in slide. They were sort of confused about what to do with the slip in slide. We tried to show them but they just sort of did what they wanted. They loved sliding down the slide on to the slip in slide. They loved the side sprinklers of the slip and slide as well. They also thought it was fun to jump on the trampoline with the sprinklers on underneat. I SO remember doing that when I was a kid. It was funny because they both had swimming suits on to start with. However, Emma always wants to be like Lukas and not have to have a shirt on so she took her swim suit off. We figured we were in the back yard and had privacy so why not. Lukas followed by taking his swim suit off about five minutes later. Silly kids!

Having fun on the tramp in their swim diapers. They really are such great friends.

Loving the water spraying in his face!

Sharing

Yesterday morning Lukas and I went up to the playroom to play while Blair was sleeping. She woke up and he told me to go get her to play. When I got back up there he was gathering all of his cars and trucks up and putting them on the blanket we lay her on upstairs. He said "I share all my cars and trucks with Blair." He then proceeded to put different cars and trucks in her hands to play with. It was so sweet of him to share.

Temple Open house

Today we went to the temple open house in South Jordan. A little bit ago we had a Family Home Evening Lesson on Temples. We built temples out of blocks and talked about the significance of the temple. Lukas now is always making temples out of blocks and asking to go to the temple. We thought what a perfect oppurtunity it would be to go to take him when we can actually go inside. All week we prepped him telling him he had to be reverant and quiet in the temple. We told him no screaming and no running. We went with my aunt and uncle and their kids, grandma B and my great Uncle. The kids were so good and so cute. When we drove up to the temple Lukas said oh wow that is pretty. He kept saying oh that is my temple. He was excited to see the baptismal font. He said he wanted to go swimming. He said I want to go swimming with my clothes on and with my tie on. Sofia was so cute as well. When we went through the locker rooms she asked her mom if this was where Jesus changed his clothes. How the little ones think is so cute. Lukas was really good and we were glad we could take him to it. After we went and had Pizza at the Pie Pizzareia. I love that place best pizza ever. I wish there was one closer.

2 Peas in a pod

Everyday I look at my kids and think how much a like they look. I went back and looked at pictures of Lukas at Blairs age and they really do look so much a like. They are both adorable of course. Seriously, take a look tell me what you think?

Blair

I think Lukas especially looks like Blair in this last picture of him.

4th of July

We had such a fun Fourth of July this year! We just partied the day away. Lukas had such a blast. We went to Dans family first and had yummy food. Lukas swam and Dan and Lukas played sponge dodge ball. Blair and I just watched and hung out enjoying the sun. Later we went to my grandmas to have a bbq and do fire works. Lukas had fun playing with Sofia, Abby and Maxx.

Blairs grin in this picture puts a smile on my face it is so cute.
I LOVED Blairs Fourth of July dress. I fell in love with it and had to have it right when I saw it.
I tried to get Lukas to pose for a picture by himself but he refused. He scooted right over and put his arm around Blair. Lukas's smile in this picture is adorable. He is a great big brother.

Lukas LOVED swimming with his cousins. He loved playing with the sponge. He kept putting it on his head and saying look mommy I am wearing a hat. He likes to pretend everything is a hat so I wasn't surprised.
He was wiped out and fell a sleep on the way to my grandmas house. We let him sleep for an hour then woke him up.
The kids had fun popping the pop its with the mallets.
Sparkler fun. Lukas LOVED the fire works and kept saying the colors the fireworks were making. Mommy that is a pretty green, pink and orange firework.
We thought Blair would be a sleep and wouldn't get to enjoy the fire works. Quite the opposite. She struggled going to sleep and stayed awake pretty much the whole day and night. I was fine with that since she was being really good. She enjoyed looking at the fireworks and didn't even cry when they got loud. She is such a good baby!

4 month check up

Today Blair had her four month well visit. She is doing great and growing like a weed!
Stats: ( The computer was broken so this was a rough percentile estiment.)
Weight: 13 pounds 6 ounces 50th percentile
Height: 25 inches 75 percentile
Head 16 inches 40th percentile
The Dr. said she was so strong for her age and so aware for four months old. It must be all her awake time. He even tried to sit her up because she was so strong. She wouldn't straighten her legs though. I asked him about the spit up and he told me to start feeding her cereal because it could help with this. I wasn't going to start solids till six months but we gave it a try tonight. She freaked out the minute we put her in the high chair. She would take a few bites and scream. She was so upset. I thought maybe she just wasn't ready. However, when I put her in the bath tub and she was calm I tried again and she gobbled it right up. She thought it was yummy stuff.

This is how ...

We play guitar hero! In our winter boots and diaper! Isn't that funny? I have tried to put Lukas's winter boots away numerous times but he gets so upset and he goes and gets them out of the box. I didn't want to put them to far away because they are still big on him and I think they will still fit this winter. I want to make sure I know right where they are. No big deal if he wants to wear them it is fine with me. He just chooses to wear them at the oddest times ever!
