Work party
Today was Dans summer work party. They call it the craw fish fry. It is at the CEO's home (which is huge by the way) and it is so much fun. They have blow up toys for the kids, a band, snow cones, kettle corn, cotton candy, face painting, and a craw dad lunch. There are also hamburgers and hot dogs for those who may not like craw dads. The house has a acres of land with a pond for fishing, a play ground for the kids to play on, and horses to look at. Lukas had fun. He had his first snow cone. He didn't like the cotton candy he actually threw it on the ground, and he was scared of the blow up toys. He seemed intrigued by the big blow up slide at first so I took him to go on it with him, and as soon as we started to climb up to go down the slide he started screaming hysterically. Needless to say we got right off. He thought the band was the funnest part. He kept dancing and laughing. It was nice to spend time as a family and enjoy the sunshine. When we got home we played out side. I think Lukas's new favorite toy is the hose. He had so much fun with it. We couldn't believe it because he was soaking wet and the water was freezing but he wanted to keep right on playing with it.

5 Years
Five years ago today Dan and I were married for eternity. It is hard to believe that it has been five years. Time sure does fly by. I couldn't ask for a better husband. He is such a great dad and works so hard for me and Lukas. To celebrate our Anniversary we went and stayed at a Resort in Midway. It was so much fun. Dan and I don't see each other much with him going to school and working. This was a much needed break. We went to dinner at the Claim jumper and it was great. The resort was beautiful and it was so much fun to spend time and have great conversation with Dan. Lukas stayed with grandma and grandpa. I was a little nervous since this was his first time away from me at night. He did great (unless grandma was lying to be nice. HA HA) and even went to sleep without crying for the night and for his nap. I am glad that he did so well. I think he is a little mad at me though because ever since we left Grandma and Grandpas he has thrown a million tantrums and been hitting non stop. Hopefully he is back to his normal self tomorrow or I might drop him back off at Grandmas. Just kidding. I was very happy to see Lukas after being away from him. Thanks Dan for such a great five years!

Mothers Day
I can't believe that I celebrated my second Mothers Day yesterday. I still sometimes have a hard time fathoming that I am a mom. Nothing means more to me then being a mommy to such a sweet precious little boy. I remember my heavy heart as I would sit in church on Mothers Day and wish I was anywhere but there. My heart desired so much to be a mother. My dream has come true! I reflected a lot on what a mother is yesterday. Even though so many moms have different mothering styles we each possess something great in wanting what is best for our children. Sometimes as a mom I know it is so hard not to compare and wonder if I am doing something wrong, or if I am being the best mom I canbe. However, I know that I am. I am doing my best each and every day to be that mom that Lukas needs. I may not have the perfectly clean house, and I probably let Lukas watch too much television. Thats okay though because each and every day I am striving to be the mom that Lukas needs me to be. Nothing means more to me then him and Dan. I feel so special to be a mother. Hopefully I can be a mom to one or two more little ones in the future.
Lets just say that I went to sacrament by myself because when I went to go get Lukas ready for church I found him a sleep on Dan.

Day with Dad
On Saturday Lukas had a fun day with Daddy! I had busy day that started at 10:30 and I didn't get home till about 1 in the morning. I had a baby shower for my cousin Ryane in Salt Lake. Then I came back and my really good friend Madlyn had just had her baby. (Congrats Madlyn Emalyn is such a cute little girl!) and I went to see her and the baby. After that I had book club and didn't make it home till late. Lukas had so much fun with daddy! They went to Reams and got donuts and Sprite. I know Lukas is so spoiled! They came home and played outside and had a great time. They watched the Bee Movie and ate their donuts and drank some Sprite. Lukas loves seeing and spending time with his dad. I am sure he felt so special having a day with just him. I am sure he gets bored of being with mommy every day all day.
He must have gotten really worn out because he fell a sleep standing up!

So silly!
Lukas's new favorite toy is a toy/clothes hamper. Grandma Crane gave it to him for Easter because it had Elmo on it. Lukas thinks it is so much fun to get in it and look out through it. He also likes to put it on his head and walk around. He laughs and giggle and just finds the whole thing hysterical. He also uses it as a basket ball hoop. We are constantly throwing balls in it.
