More Halloween

Tonight we had a Halloween Party at grandma and grandpa Wilkinson's house. It was fun as always. They played lots of games, bobbed for apples (there is money in this game.), had lots of treats and yummy food, and played with awesome cousins. I love that my kids get along so well with their cousins. It makes family parties so much fun!

Lukas holding up one of his prizes. He LOVED the sucker tree.
Blair got a silly band necklace.
Bat man and daddy.
This is Blairs favorite toy at grandma and grandpas. She plays with it all the time.

Suck up the candy corn with a straw and put it in the cup game.

Spider web game. They got so tangled that some of the grand kids had to be cut out of their web.
Blair and Gracie eating chips. Aren't these two the cutest? I am so glad that Blair has a girl cousin so close in her age ( a month and a half a part.) they can be the greatest of friends!

Trick or Treat

Trick or treating was lots of fun this year. Both my kids had such a great time. They got tons of candy and crashed on a sugar high when it was over. We started out at trunk or treat at my parents ward. That is where most of their candy was from. It was great cause it was inside so it was a dry haven from all the rain and hail. Then we made our way to Grandma B's and Aunt Suzannes house. We trick or treated their for a bit, then we were off to Dans parents to trick or treat there as well. We got home and hit a few houses and we were done!

I love how I captured a picture right as the wind blew Blair's cape up.

Blair didn't quite get trick or treating at first. For a few days Lukas and I tried to get her to say trick or treat but she wouldn't do it. When we started actually trick or treating she would just sort of stare at everybody and Lukas would put her candy in her bag. After a bit of this she caught on and knew she would get candy and didn't hesitate a bit.
First house we actually knocked on the door.

Halloween parade

Yesterday Lukas had his preschool Halloween party. I felt horrible because I got the time of the party and the Halloween parade mixed up and we missed the first half. Lukas told me "It's okay mom I got lots of treats." I felt horrible the whole day though. He must have known I felt bad because he kept giving me hugs and saying, "It's okay, I'm okay I got to go to the best part." He really is the sweetest boy and doesn't like it when people are sad. Miss Valarie was sweet and send home the crafts they did and we did them together. It was kind of cold during the Halloween parade so they didn't do the typical march down the street trick or treat. We just did it around the house. I didn't get to many pictures cause I was handing out candy to all the cute little preschoolers. Lukas has such cute kids in his class. I usually tag along on the field trips and help whenever I can and so I have gotten to know them. They know give me hugs when they see me and talk to me.

It was almost as if Lukas had already gone trick or treating on Halloween night he came home with lots and lots of treats!
This is Lukas's class. Well not all of them are in his class this is both A.M. Mon, Wend, Fri and Tues Thurs classes. You can see Lukas poking through in his bat man mask behind the cute little fire fighter.

Letter to Blair

Dear Blair,
We really truly love you, but could you please slow down a bit. We are starting to truly wonder if your goal in life is to give mommy and daddy a heart attack or panic attack on a daily basis. If this is your goal it is working. Your climbing skills are amazing but lets use this ability for the playground not EVERYTHING in the house. The counters, entertainment centers etc are NOT the playground. The table and counters are not to hang on like your doing pulls ups. The banister is not to hang on or to swing from step to step. Your toys aren't tools to aid in climbing. The drawers are not stairs. We don't use them to get to the counter. We know you have great tricks and it is even cute when you say "me, me" "Look." in your cute little voice to show them off. However, I am starting to seriously think your going to injure yourself in a serious way. We know you want to be super women but the stairs are not for jumping off of, or pretending to fly off the 4th step off. Luckily, mommy was there to catch you when you surprised her with that trick. I am seriously thinking of putting all the chairs and bar stools away and eating on the floor. It might make life easier. However, that isn't REALLY an option. I have put the bar stools and chairs on their sides. This doesn't stop you, you just push them to were you want them to go and use the sides of them as climbing tools. Your refusal to eat in a high chair OR booster makes dinner quite a fiasco. Good thing I brought the high chair out to scare you into thinking you would need to use it again because you have been doing a little better at not standing and using your chair as a stage for dancing and singing and tricks while eating. There isn't a day that goes by that you don't hurt yourself. Just this morning you cut your lip open from doing your tricks. You have had FIVE bloody noses since birth. Your brother hasn't had a single one. There has been many nights that mom has checked on you to make sure you were okay because of severe falls and bumps on the head. All in all lets just say we pray every night that your tricks don't lead to a trip to the hospital. We do love you, craziness and all though!
Love,
Mom and dad

Grandma B's Halloween party

My grandma B and Aunt threw the great grand kids a Halloween party. We had it at my house since we have a little more of an open space and kid friendly house. It was so much fun. All of the kids had a great time. They don't get to see each other very often so when they do they have a grand time. Plus the adults have a great time talking and conversing as well.

Lukas is Batman this year and Blair is a Super girl. Lukas calls her "Super Baby" I think the costume kind of looks like a tiny wonder women costume. I love her boots with her costume they look so super heroish (I know not a word but I am going to make it up and use it anyway.) to me.

Grandma B and Blair waiting for the party to start.
My kids coloring their boo pictures.
Lukas wanted me to take a picture of his finished product. He even made me take a picture of the picture by itself. I will spare you the details of showing you that picture. HA HA.
This is Baby Mo! Lukas is obsessed with baby Mo. He wanted to hold baby Mo the whole time. I don't blame him he is so so cute. He has to be the most smiley baby ever. He seriously did not stop smiling the whole time. That is saying a lot cause it was pretty hectic in the house.
Story time.
They had a pumpkin pinata.
Seriously, the party was so much fun. Thanks Grandma and Aunt Suzanne for showing my kids and the other great grand kids a great time. We appriciate all you do for all of us!

Pumpkin FHE

Last night for Family Home Evening we picked out pumpkins and colored them with markers. We were going to go to the Pumpkin Patch but didn't make it. We figured good old Macey's was a great place to pick out some pumpkins. :) Lukas, has a field trip to the pumpkin patch for preschool anyway and I am pretty sure Blair and I will be tagging a long as well. Lukas made sure that we had 4 pumpkins one for each member of the family in the cart. The kids had so much fun coloring them in the drive way. Blair colored herself a lot as well as her pumpkin! Thank goodness for washable markers!

She wanted a white pumpkin.

I don't know why he wanted to lie on his side to color. I guess it was a better angle. HA HA.
