Crazy baby

Crazy baby has become Blairs nick name in our household, a long with Blair Bear and Blairster. Seriously, she is a crazy little thing. This little girl will be walking very soon we believe. She now stands for minutes at a time not holding onto anything. I figured I better get proof because no one would believe a seven month old could do this. I appluade her and am so excited that she is doing these things. She amazes me. However, a part of me feels sad because she is so little she needs to slow down a bit.

Check her out! She has been doing this all day. She just hasn't figured out she can move her feet forward. However, her balance is excellent.
Did I mention she can climb the stairs now! Yeah, she climbed all the way up them with Dan behind her while I was at the gym. We will be installing a high end baby gate here real soon.

She sure is cute though and we LOVE HER!

Family pictures (sneak peak)

Yesterday my friend Nately and her husband took our family pictures. Desistodigitals.com if you want to check out their fabulous work. We had so much fun taking family photos. We are glad we got at least one of Lukas smiling. He was being a little monster and wasn't cooperating very well. He was being his stubborn self and would only participate at certain times. Luckily Chris and Nately are the most patient people ever! We can't wait to see the rest.

Corn Bellys

Yesterday we took the kids to Corn Bellys at Thanksgiving Point. Lukas had so much fun. He was so sad when we left he started crying. We bribed him with ice cream and he stopped.

Lukas loves playing in the corn kernals.
Playing in the wooden train

Playing in the bounce house. This is his favorite. He loves jumping.
Blair had fun too. She LOVES being outside. She rarely makes a peep if she is outside. It was a beautiful day too.
Lukas loved the rocking animals. He was having fun despite his face. He was just going REALLY fast.

Enjoying his ice cream. You can't go to Thanksgiving Point without stopping off at the ice cream shop. It is so cheap.

2nd time is a charm.

2nd time equals success in the potty training world, at least for Lukas. It all started on Saturday when he came into the living room and out of nowhere announced he wanted to go pee pee in the potty. I said okay and he went. Then I put him in big boy undies and told him that we don't like diapers and he was a big boy now. Well there has been no turning back and he has done AWESOME! We are now down to about one accident a day. He can hold it for hours now and even tells us about half the time that he has to go. I do make him go if it has been a while and sometimes he fights me but we usually end up with him going. We have even gone out to the store and he has stayed dry. He even went to the bathroom at Sams Club today even though he said the toliets were scary and loud. He just covered his ears and went like a big boy. He even managed to stay dry all night last night and immediatly asked to go to the bathroom this morning when he woke up. He sai,d "I went a lot daddy." It is sort of funny because on Thursday I asked the pediatrician about this. He said he would come to me and not to worry about it until he was four. I was thinking WHAT, four! He said don't make diaper changes fun change him on the tile ect. I never thought he would actually come to me and then keep going at it. I am so proud of Lukas and his progress.

I think Lukas should be the next guitar hero model. What do you think? ;) Yes, his mattress is in our living room. He is refusing to sleep upstairs and since Dan threw out his back we weren't able to have him get use to it this weekend. Hopefully in the next few weeks. However, he might just be using his room to play in for a bit.

Lukas got a superman/batman cape for his potty training reward. He loves it and thinks it is super fun. He looks adorable in it.

Acid reflux

As most of you know Blair spits up a TON! It is pretty obvious she suffers from acid reflux. Luckily she is a happy spitter though and rarely cries. We had her on prevacid and the Dr. told me it would help with pain but not the actual spitting up. Sense it was kind of expensive, and she never cried, and didn't seem to need it I took her off. I just figured why give her unecessary medicine if she isn't crying and will possibly grow out of it soon. She hit her six months and was still spitting up a lot and I just figured I would give it a little longer. Well she is still spitting up like a champ. I got to thinking and thought maybe this is why she is such a horrible sleeper. Nothing seems to help her sleep and she RARELY even takes a nap. I ended up calling the Dr. and taking her in. We decided to put her on Zantag. I am really hoping this works and helps her sleep better. She has only been on it since Thursday night so we haven't seen if it will actually help the sleeping and actually help her spitting up. He said it would probably take a few weeks to see if it helps. I am tired of the spit up though that is for sure. I am glad we are trying something else. He said if this doesn't work then I will have to resort to the special formulas designed for babies who spit up a lot. I don't feel extremly happy about that since this will cost twice as much as her Gentle Ease formula she is now on. Hopefully this works and we can get her improving some.

Both my kids got their flu shots that day too. They were really brave even if Lukas was a tad bit dramatic by making me hold him afterwards while he proceeded to hold his leg up in the air.

On a little different not Blair LOVES wipes. Seriously if she finds a container of wipes she goes to it and gets some out and then puts them in her mouth and holds them there and crawls around with them in her mouth. It seriously cracks me up.

Lukas's kids

For a while now Lukas has been telling us he has two kids. We would ask him what their names are and he would say, two, four, six, seven and eight. We just sort of laughed and said okay. Well we "caught" Lukas talking to one of his kids the other day. Appraently he has a few imaginary friends. One of his kids/imaginary friends name is Thomas. It is really cute. He tells us he doesn't know where Thomas lives but he is his kid. He asks Thomas if he wants to eat and if he wants to take Tubby's. Dan and I act like he is real and include him in our family activites. Lukas's imagination is starting to sky rocket and we love it and think it is hilarous.
On another note this boy is learning how to give GREAT prayers without any help. He prays every day at dinner time. He never forgets to thank Heavanly Father for the food and bless it. He also prays for others which include his grandma and grandpas, Blair, mommy and daddy, his aunt Staci and his aunt Suzanne. One time though he prayed about medicine and prayed he wouldn't have to take it anymore because it was yucky. We have NO idea where that came from because it has been a while since he has had any sort of medicine. Silly boy. The praying sure does make me a proud mommy though.

New Room

We cleaned out our "Storage room" aka room where we put all the things we didn't know what to do with and made it into Lukas's room. Blair and Lukas sharing a room just wasn't going over too well. Not when Blair is such a horrible sleeper, no matter what I have done to change this. Lukas has started refusing to go to bed and has resorted to temper tantrums. We haven't been able to at least take him to his room and say goodnight and try to get him to sleep because we were worried he would wake Blair (she is in bed before Lukas's bed time.) up with his tantrums. It resulted in Lukas sleeping or at least falling a sleep on the couch a lot. We figured we needed to give Lukas his own room. So we went to work. Well mostly Dan did he cleaned it out and I found room for things and went through a few boxes ;) I did scrub the walls though. Lukas helped Dan a lot cleaning and finding treasures. We figured the more he helped the more excited he would get about having a new room. He loves his new room and loves playing in it and hanging out in it. Sleeping in it not so much. He said he was too scared to sleep in there. We did put him in there after he fell a sleep last night. He stayed in there till he woke up at three in the morning screaming for Dan. Dan ended up sleeping by him. Tonight he said he wanted to sleep on the couch. We will let him sleep on the couch till Dan is home again on the weekend to help him get use too it. I can't be by him and Blair so I am okay with that. I am sure he will get use too it and enjoy it. He doesn't do well with change so I am surprised at how well he likes having his room up there too play in. Now I just need to get some decorations for both kids rooms since Lukas can have a boyish room and Blair can have a more girly room.

Lukas loves this race track. I bought it for Dan our first Christmas after we were married. This is one of the treasures he found. Now he is always asking to play his vroom vroom car game with daddy! He keeps it in his room so Blair won't get it.
