Blairs turns one part 1

Blair turns the big 1 tomorrow. Today was her first of two parties at grandma and grandpa Wilkinson's. I was a little worried that after a tough week she wouldn't be up to par and ready to celebrate. However, she was living it up at her party. I can't believe she is 1. She is so cute and we had so much fun celebrating this milestone with her.

My friend Jen made her this adorable tu tu and onsie with her name on it. My cousin Ryane made her hair bow. She looked so dang cute! I tried to put leggings on her but she would not let me.
Daddy and the birthday princess!
She was loving the rocking chair today.
Just relaxing cause its my birthday!

Opening presents. Lukas felt the need to help. I think he opened about half of them before I could really stop him. I didn't even get to see some of the stuff she got because he was opening them so fast. He said, "She needs help she doesn't know how to do it." She got some cute things! Thanks everyone!
Clapping her hands after opening her gifts.
Happy that she got her own cake!
I think I might just take a big old bite right out of it. HA HA.
Messy Messy baby!
LOVING IT!!!! We had so much fun celebrating with her. Tomorrow she gets birthday party number 2 on her actual birthday. My family and some friends will be coming over to our house. My first party in our new house! We love you Blair and are so happy you made it to one year!

Ear tubes

You can't tell by these pictures but little miss Blair got ear tubes today. First off let me say our ENT Dr. is SO awesome! Seriously, I have never met a more compassionate and caring dr. Her staff is just as amazing. We met with them last Friday and they got her in today, not even a week later. She is a mom of four and knows how much suffering these little ones and their famalies go through with ear issues. Her name is Dr. Heidi Hearas if anyone needs an ENT dr. She just does peds and only tonsils and ear tubes. Blair went in at 8:45 this morning. She did really well with not being able to eat or drink anything. I just distracted her upstairs until it was time to go. Thanks, to Dans parents who let Lukas sleep over so he wouldn't have to eat and drink anything in front of her. Plus she slept in later then when Lukas is here. We got there and waited for a bit then they brought us back. There were so many little ones at the surgical center today (I think most of them were Dr. Hearas she had 11 surgeries scheduled.) and it broke my heart every time they took them from their parents to take them back for surgery. When they took Blair I almost cried. She was so sad screaming and putting up a fight. Luckily the surgery went quickly and they came and got us out of the waiting room after about twenty minutes. The dr. came out and talked to us first. She said that Blairs right ear was still super infected and she had to drain out a lot of fluid and pus. Obviously the oral antibiotics weren't working at all. She said it should clear up with the antibiotic ear drops. She said we needed to go back to her office in two weeks to have her hearing checked. She didn't pass the hearing test afterwards. She said though this is common especially if the ear is still infected. I didn't realize Blair was having hearing issues. She always hears me when I call her name. She says about 5 words and dances to music. The dr. told us that she will hear so much better and her vocabulary will just explode then if she is talking so well with what has been going on with her ears. We went back to get her and she was just screaming. We couldn't get her to calm down and she refused to drink or eat anything. We finally left and just assumed she would stop with a change of scenery. After about 45 minutes she stopped. I am sure just the effects from the surgery and waking up and not seeing us just made her scared and sad and confused. She has been perfectly fine the rest of the day. She has been eating drinking and playing. We are so happy she seems to be doing so well. She has been such a trooper thorough everything. She is such a happy baby and she amazes me with her attitude and skills. I know this was a long post but I wanted to document this for her and for me.

Happy V-day!

We had a nice Valentines Day. The kids woke up and we let them open their Valentines gifts. Blair got a dolly she always tries to grab at Wal mart and some letter fridge magnents. Lukas got a Mickey Mouse memory game and a Transformers kite. We later enjoyed home made donuts with pink frosting and sprinkles. Okay so they were semi home made! HA HA. I made them with biscuit dough that you can buy packaged in the tubes. They still tasted yummy and Lukas had fun helping make them.

I had a hard time getting a good picture of Blair opening her gift. She is such a mover. Of course she wouldn't hold still for me to snap a picture of her holding her gift either.

Lukas had fun playing this game with daddy today!

Looking cute in her Valentines heart dress!

She can melt my heart with her big blues. Watch out boys I am sure she will do the same to you when she is older!

I guess she didn't like her picture taken with Lukas.

Lukas told me he didn't want me to take his picture and I had to bribe him to do so. If he let me take his picture he could play computer games. Oh how this boy loves computer games and Wii time.
Lukas had so much fun helping me decorate a few weeks ago for Valentines Day.
I sure do love my little family. I am so grateful for them.

Outside

My kids have been loving the nicer weather. Frankly, so have I. They love playing outside. Especially Blair. I think Blair would play outside all day if we could. She never cries (except for the occasional fall) when we are out side enjoying the air.

Blair loves to push around the Fisher Price lawn mower. She also loves to kick and throw the ball.
Lukas likes to ride his trike. He is getting big for it though. This will be the last year he will use it then we will pass it on down to Blair.
Blair is getting really great at pointing at things she wants or likes.

Lukas also loves to ride his scooter that he got for Christmas.
Blair got her first big outside owie two days ago playing. She fell smack head first onto the concrete (she refuses to walk or play on the grass she hates it!). She got a big old scrape and bump on her forhead. She stopped crying the minute I gave her a chocolate chip cookie though. I don't blame her they were yummy! Later though I notice she had hit her nose too because she had a big red spot for two days there. I am sure that there will be plenty more outside owies to come. Especially because we have to put her in huge shoes since we are having a hard time finding hard sole shoes in her size. So right now she is wearing a size bigger then she actually wears. This doesn't help in the falling department.

L-O-V-E

My kids truly are such great friends and love each others company. Lukas loves Blair and always wants her to play with him. Blair giggles the most at Lukas out of everyone in our family. Even if they fight a lot I love moments like this.

Blair even loves Lukas when he is picking his nose! Now that is true love!

11 Months

Blair is now 11 months old. I can't believe in 28 short days she will be the big 1. It makes me a little sad. However, she is so so cute and is so much fun and we are really enjoying her. She had a rough month of ear infections and being sick. We are pretty sure though she is on the mend and we constantly pray that she doesn't get anymore ear infections. She cut her first tooth this month and will be cutting a few more any day now. She has moved on from baby food to eating big girl foods. She loves mac and cheese, cheese and crackers, and pretty much whatever else you will give her. She is also officially off the bottle and only drinks milk and juice out of her sippy cup. She can say daddy, no, and out. She loves Lukas and giggles so much at him. Her favorite thing to do is play upstairs with all her toys. She could seriously play up there all day. She is my little climber and surprises me on a daily basis how high she can climb. This little girl loves to be outside. Even if it is just a walk from the car to inside a store she is all smiles and giggles. Yesterday was our first play outside for hours day and she didn't want to come in. She ran all over and played so much. She didn't like the grass much though. If she fell on the grass she would cry. We love the joy this little girl brings into our lives.
Cute smile!

She loves to play with her zebra print Sunglasses.

This is Lukas's old hat from his ninja costume. She likes to put it on. She looks hilarous in it!
She likes to play in these drawers and take everything out. The other day I walked over and she was actually in the drawer playing. We took a quick picture and put a stop to it.

She absolutely LOVES Lukas's super cape. She brings it too us all the time and asks us to put it on her. She looks so funny and little in it. I think we need to get her, her own princess cape.

I bet you didn't know!

I bet you didn't know that backwards underwear is the new fad! Well, Lukas did. HA HA. He ALWAYS puts his underwear on backwards. I try to get him to change it to the correct way and he tells me no. He says he likes it that way. More power to him I guess. He also pretty much insists on wearing white underwear. Every once in a while he switches it up with a little color.
