Rides

Rides at Disneyland are the BEST!!! We loved all of them. We loved more some then others. We rode some once and some over and over again!

Blair's favorite rides: Little Mermaid! We had to go on it twice in a row. It really is a cute ride. Pirates! After that ride she was always singing Yo Ho a Pirates life for me! All the Bug Land rides. Small World, she would shake her little bum every time we came upon the hula dances. It was so cute! She was so brave and wanted to go on EVERYTHING! She even rode the Matter Horn twice. She begged to Ride Screamin (The big roller coaster at California Adventure.) after every ride was over she would say AGAIN, AGAIN!

Lukas's favorite rides: Splash Mountain. During the parade at night him, Dan, Jake, and his cousins would ride it over and over! Star Tours (Of course), Space Mountain, Buzz light year, and Matter horn (he loved the Yedi!), Thunder Mountain Rail Road. It took some convincing to get him to go on some rides. I am not surprised though cause he is my more timid child. Once we convinced him to go he usually loved it and wanted to go again. The only ride I don't think he liked was Holly Wood Tower of Terror. I dragged him on it. Afterwards he said, "I didn't really like that. Lets not do that again." I think if it would only dropped once he would have really liked it! Lukas was always asking us, "Is that fake?" It cracked me up all the time!

Dan: Splash Mountain, Matter Horn, Thunder Mountain Rail Road, Screamin! No Holly Wood Tower of Terror for him. Dan was Lukas's little riding buddy. Lukas always wanted to ride with him. He rarely wanted to ride with his momma! That is okay, I love that they are such great buddies!

Brandi: Holly Wood Tower of Terror. Too bad no one else shares the love. I only got to ride it once, Splash Mountain, Soaring over California. I pretty much loved anything I could ride with my kids. The pure enjoyment on their faces just made my trip!

Thank goodness for Uncle Jake! Dan and I can't stomach the tea cups. Luckily Jake took them EVERY TIME! Which was a lot! Thanks Jake!
You can't go to Disneyland without riding the Dumbo ride!

Blair loved these bumper cars. She would laugh and laugh and laugh. She thought it was so funny when we would run into someone. Especially daddy and Lukas!

Snow at Disneyland!

There is something so magical about going to Disneyland during the holidays. One of the reasons they make it SNOW! After the fireworks on comes the snow machines. My kids thought it was great. Dan and I did as well. It was magical and so exciting. I wish it would have lasted hours instead of minutes!

Lukas the Jedi!

I know that I have posted a lot about Disneyland. However, I still have a few more posts. This is my scrap book so I am posting things in the best way I feel will preserve the memories from Disneyland.

While we were there we attended the Jedi Training Academy show. It was the cutest thing ever! When I heard they picked kids out of the audience to "attend" the training camp I was crossing my fingers, and praying that Lukas would get picked. I knew if he didn't he would be CRUSHED! When we went to the Crush show he was so sad that Crush didn't call on him to ask him a question. Star Wars is much more important to him then Crush so I knew he would be SO sad if he didn't get picked! When they called him up I was jumping up and down with joy right along with him. Seriously, it was the cutest thing ever to watch him live out a Star Wars dream. They got to wear Jedi Cloaks and be trained how to use a light saber correctly while fighting. After they trained out came Darth Vadar and Darth Maul! The looks on the kids faces were priceless! It was so awesome!


Right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg, duck! that is what they were practicing.
Out comes Darth Vadar! He tried to convince the kiddies to come to the Dark Side! Of course none did. However, they were able to fight Darth Vadar!


Becoming Jedi's!
Lukas received a certificate declaring him a true Jedi! He shows everyone this certificate. He is so proud he fought Darth Vadar and WON!

Minnie and Mickey ears!

You can't go to Disneyland without purchasing Minnie and Mickey ears! The kids both got to pick out whatever ones they wanted! Do you like their choices? Each choice fits my kiddies personality to a T! Love these kids!

Coin Collecting

Lukas LOVES collecting things! He has a rock collection, lego collection, and now a Disney coin collection! Lukas and his cousins, Max and Cole fell in love with collecting the smash coins from the coin machines while at Disneyland! Apparently they have them hidden ALL over the park! You can get smashed nickels, Dimes and Quarters. They have all sort of pictures from Princess, Minnie, Mickey, Pirates, etc. The kids loved having their little bags of coins and running around finding them. You can even purchase a coin collecting book to put all the coins in. Lukas had to fill his up. If your wondering if he did fill it up, he did! He had to have the book constantly! It went on rides with him and he even slept with it at night.

Charachter breakfast!

One of the mornings we were at Disneyland we went to the Minnie and friends breakfast. It was so fun. It was great to see all of the character's walking around. It was a buffet and it was so yummy! I was especially fond of the Micky shaped waffles. I am wishing I would have looked for a mickey waffle iron so I could make my own. ;)

This is the outfit Blair wore to the breakfast. (Ryane she isn't wearing the leg warmers you made her cause she spilled all over them before I could even get a picture! I have a different pic I will post of her wearing them with a different dress. SO cute!)

This is probably as close as Blair got to any of the character's. My brave little girl who would go on any ride, and was begging to go on the BIG HUGE rides was scared of them. She kept saying "I don't like you, go away!" It was kind of funny, but sad.

Minnie Mouse! Gracie LOVES Minnie and was so excited to see her. Even if she said "That is a blown up Minnie." Blair wouldn't get to close. I did think it was funny that she would copy her actions though. This pic is just so cute!

Sea World!

On the third day in California we went to Sea World! I will be honest I am not sure I really loved it. Lukas even got a little bored at times. He didn't love the Shamu show, but he LOVED seeing the sharks. I don't blame him who doesn't love walking in a tunnel with sharks above you? We were sad because the Sting Ray exhibit was closed. I know my kids would have loved the Sting Rays.


Both the kids loved the Star fish. It was the only hands on exhibit so they really really loved it!

This tortoise was out for his walk, so we were able to touch him.
The water ride Atlantis was neat! Lukas wouldn't go on it at first cause he didn't want to get wet. After Max and Cole came off of riding it saying how awesome it was he went. Seriously, we got SOAKED!! I had to buy Lukas a shirt because he just wasn't drying fast enough. They had these dryers you could pay 5 dollars at right after the ride. Ummm, waste of money! It didn't help at all. Just a tad bit of info in case you go and are wondering.
This Walrus was making me sick cause he kept throwing up and then eating his throw up! I will spare you the actual picture of him doing that. :)
We played games and won lots of toys! This was one of our prizes!
